Good day everyone,
So getting on with part two of my NYX series today is only a few items and lets not waste any time.
Even though I really love my bb creams I am still always willing to try other brands, products and foundations. Yeah no kidding hence why I am doing blogs;p
So I decided to give NYX foundation a go which is the STAY MATTE BUT NOT FLAT. It is oil free, water based, full coverage, mineral enriched with a matte finish no doubt.

Let me start by saying that this is the totally wrong color for me and I had a feeling I should have went lighter. However I do like the yellow base to this foundation because it does tone down the redness in my skin. That being said I did try and wear this yesterday just to be able to say my overall thoughts of the product. I realize that even though I have very oily skin I am not a fan of matte makeup. I feel that once my own oils meld with matte makeup it just looks worse and because the color is wrong it just made my face look awful. I also found that this felt heavy on my skin which I also don't like.
I think what I will do is use it as more of a corrector for red spots under my usual foundation. I don't think I would repurchase this product its not for me, but it may work for someone with very normal skin. In the future I will probably try NYX HD foundation and see how that is and will surely pick a much lighter shade.
This matte foundation comes in a squeeze tube which is .35g/1.23oz which is pretty standard for face makeup. I paid $10.99 or it's $7.50 U.S in the shade 03 NATURAL
Next up is a blush in the color 25 PINCHED. Now I have read several places but specifically Karen who runs the blog MAKEUP AND BEAUTY spoke about this blush that its very similar to the NARS ORGASM. I do see that from the many pictures I have looked at, as I for one don't own Nars because I feel its to overpriced at $32 for a blush, that's just me. Not saying I wouldn't like to try their products I just can't justify spending that money on a couple of items.
The thing I like most about this blush is that it has such a nice glow to it and makes for a lovely sheen on the skin, but please don't get heavy handed with this product as it stands out a lot on the cheek or cheek bone area. On the swatch it didn't show up as well as I would have liked, but it is quite pigmented. It is .14oz/4g and cost $8.99 or $5.00 U.S and both sites offer 24 shades.
Lastly is what seems to be a very popular topic for most ladies out there is NAIL POLISH.
NYX has their salon formula polish in a staggering 144 different colors and finishes.
My picks are 114 SURF and 187 MAUVE both colors are Spring/Summer ready and complimentary to each other. So have fun with it and mix them up.

This color is the perfect blue with a nice subtle iridescent finish to it. Makes me want to dive into the ocean, but since I don't live near one a pool will have to do;P

I really like the nice high shine finish with this nail polish and I did wear both colors on my one hand to see how well it wears and through several hand washings and numerous house hold tasks it did hold up nicely.
These are full size bottles at .52oz/15ml and are very reasonably priced at $5.99 or $4.00 U.S
LOTS of fun colors to be had in this line.
