A MONTH IN REVIEW (FOLLOW UPS LOVE IT, OR LEAVE IT)

Hi everyone,

Today I thought I would follow up on a few things I have tried over the month and have used long enough now to say LOVE IT or LEAVE IT.

I will start with things that I have come to love this month and have been enjoying regularly. First is the AVON eyeshadow primer, this stuff works like a charm and if your not in the market for an expensive one like too faced or Urban decay this is a great alternative. I totally see the difference in my over eyelid texture and evenness to ensure a great finished look once shadow is applied and it does amp up the colours significantly.

Also the NYX jumbo eye pencil in "MILK" is absolutely a go to staple for a flawless eye application and if you haven't bought one yet, you don't know what you are missing. These pencils are only $5.99 and worth every penny. A MUST TRY for eye makeup lovers and it is a great multi use item for priming to lining it does it all.

I also have been thoroughly enjoying PHYSICIANS FORMULA BRONZE BOOSTER. This is truly a lovely product. It not only is aesthetically pleasing to look at in the compact, but looks great on and gives a beautiful natural looking glow. It isn't to harsh or over the top with shimmer, mind you I do like that but it's not for everyone.

I also like the AVON SMOOTH MINERALS PRESSED FOUNDATION. I like using this if I want to set my foundation or just touch up my t-zone which gets extremely oily during the day. I did however try this alone to see if for me its suitable as its claim of foundation type makeup, but its not for me on it's own. I still prefer using a liquid first. It is super soft and finely milled and applies very easily and evenly.

Still the same as last month I continue to love the MAYBELLINE ROCKET MASCARA. I reach for this most days and even if I am not doing a full face of makeup I still put some of this on. It really extenuates all the lashes. However  COMING SOON I will be reviewing the new MAYBELLINE FALSIES BIG EYES mascara so stay tuned for my thoughts on that as well.

For lips I find myself reaching for either my MAKE UP FOR EVER AQUA ROUGE lip colour if I want big bold lips. If I want a more toned down look I actually have been liking the AVON TOTALLY KISSABLE LIPSTICKS. At first I didn't know how I felt about these lipsticks because I found them a bit sheer for my normal liking. However over the month I have grown to really like them and find that the colour is buildable and actually they are super moisturizing as well which is a huge bonus as my lips tend to chap very easily. I also really LOVE the QUO LIP GLOSSES they are super shiny and last for a decent amount of time on the lips and the colour range is good. Some colours are very similar to MAC glosses I have seen. Also QUO glosses are nice and creamy and not tacky on the lips which is a big peeve of mine with any type of gloss.

I also have been using quite a bit of my NIVEA LIP BUTTER VANILLA & MACADAMIA which I find divine. It not only smells like a dream like a super moist vanilla cup cake, but the nut oils from the Macadamia in it makes for super soft smooth kissable lips. I put this on every night before bed to ensure supple lips for next days lipstick or gloss application. For the amount you get and being only $3 this is a steal of a deal and a MUST try. If you don't like that flavour or scent they do have 4 others to choose from.

The very best BB cream I have used is actually a very inexpensive one that is from HOLIKA HOLIKA called PETIT BB CLEARING. This comes in a 30ml turquoise squeeze tube and is only $12.99 CAD. I can't believe how great it is and the nice coverage it gives and everything was fine the whole time I used this till I started using Canadian foundations again and my skin has been looking terrible. So "KOREA GREAT JOB ON A GREAT PRODUCT:)"
Ironically I also bought and tried the high end Holika bb cream called "ALL THAT" and I actually prefer the cheaper one more as it's a little more light weight on the skin. That's a big price difference as well because "ALL THAT BB CREAM" is normally $35 unless you get it on sale as I did.

Now on to things I did not like this month.....

ALMAY SMART SHADE LIQUID MAKEUP I just did not like the way this looked on my skin and I actually really don't like the smell either it smells very unpleasant. NOT that I am saying I want companies to load foundations with fragrance because I equally hate that too. However more companies that make hypoallergenic products need to follow suit and take notes from CLINIQUE. They have no smell pleasant or unpleasant they just have great quality makeup. Which for someone like me with sensitive skin that is essential when purchasing foundations.

AVON IDEAL FLAWLESS FOUNDATION- The first week I tried this I loved this makeup because it seemed to really even out the skin tone and make a truly flawless looking face. I also loved the dewy look it gave my complexion. Sadly the only reason I have to say I need to LEAVE this product is because it actually seems it may be making my skin break out. I am going to test it again for one more week and if I break out again I will know that it sadly is the culprit. If that's the case I unfortunately will be stuck with two bottles of foundation I can not use. I may give them away.

L'OREAL COLOUR RICHE BRAZEN BOLDS EYESHADOW QUAD IN NEON SKIRT- First off names of makeup are getting way way to long. My biggest complaint with this quad is that it other then the gold shade the other three shades did not have excellent colour payoff that you come to expect from L'Oreal. I am actually glad I got this with my optimum points through Shoppers Drug Mart. I would have been more disappointed had I paid the $12 these shadows normally go for. I will definitely use the gold the most for other looks, but the rest I can LEAVE. I also find the colours somewhat on the chalky side or maybe this was old stock?!?!? WHO KNOWS.

Well that's my thoughts and follow ups to my month in review and I hope you all come back soon as I will be reviewing many new items within the next couple of weeks so stay tuned, GRAB YOUR SUNSCREEN and till next time..............

STAY BEAUTIFUL
