MAYBELLINE PRESENTS ITS NEWEST HERO "DR.RESCUE" BABY LIPS

SEASONS GREETINGS ALL,

Today I have for you my thoughts on the new Maybelline Dr.Rescue baby lips. Now if you have been reading my blog long enough you will have read my very big rant of a post on my dismay for the original baby lips. I actually never thought I would be purchasing baby lips of any kind again.

Now flash forward several months and Maybelline has released new medicated versions of baby lips and I did find this intriguing as I love medicated balms. I had read many peoples views on these that the scent was similar to that of vapo-rub and its true, they do, but that dissipates as you wear it. However this will be fine for some like myself and very displeasing to others. I personal love a menthol type smell, so it's all good. Keep in mind this active ingredient is what is going to help your chapped lips, which was my issue with the originals. Just because a product is emollient and offers a touch of colour and fun fruity smells doesn't mean its a great lip balm.

The two colours I picked up are BERRY SOFT & SOOTHING SORBET
$3.97 EACH

 L2R-Berry Soft & Soothing Sorbet
 Berry Soft
Soothing Sorbet
I have to admit that this new collection of Dr.Rescue's has redeemed my feelings about baby lips for the time being. I have been wearing the "Berry Soft" for a couple of hours now and my lips feel soft and I have a hint of menthol lingering. Also I really like these colours because they do show up, but gently. As you can see from the swatches the colour is pretty decent.
You get 4.4g of product with .5% Menthol which is very low for those worried they may get blasted by it.
I suggest if your not really sure how you will feel about that aspect of these new baby lips only buy one or check to see if a friend has one you can smell, then stock up if you don't find the menthol bothersome.
LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS WHICH BABY LIPS YOU PREFER, ORIGINAL, ELECTRO OR THE NEW DR. RESCUE???
THANKS EVERYONE FOR STOPPING BY AND HAVING A READ

XOXO

  3. Like you I don't care for the original Baby Lips. It's too slippery for me and thus doesn't stay on long enough to do anything for me. Do these have that same thin slippery texture?

  4. I find for some reason I think the menthol helps with them being slippy, but not like the originals that just seemed to soft almost. Still quite similar though.
