WELCOME, BACK! TODAY IS MILANI MONDAY,
I am sure your not surprised that I am doing yet another lip product review for you all. Today lets take a look at three of the Milani matte lipsticks.
I would say Milani Matte lipsticks are by far one of the most comfortable matte lipsticks to wear and do not feel like they are sucking the moisture out of my lips. These wear for a long time, on days when I am too busy and skip lunch (I know bad, bad, tsk, tsk on me) these lipsticks stay in place, with no touch up needed. I love that Milani matte lipsticks are infused with grape seed oil imported from Italy, but I am curious if it's pure, organic or cold pressed?
FACT- Did you know that grape seed oil contains twice as much vitamin e as Olive oil?
no wonder my lips feel so good when I wear it.
Milani moisture matte lipsticks are available in 8 shades, I imagine with time they will expand the collection or at least that is my hope. In Canada, Milani is sold at Loblaws, Great Canadian Super Store and online through Well.ca (link to their site is in the sidebar). EACH LIPSTICK IS 3.97G AND ARE $8 CAD
Also, I don't know if anyone has noticed on the Milani website, but under each colour of the matte lipstick's it says Vegan, so that's a big plus for those looking for that option in their makeup choices.
Here are the colours I picked up
60 INNOCENCE
A peachy nude that is a gentle light hue on the lips, but the colour applies evenly and does not wash out ones complexion. I find some other really light nude colours can almost look like the person is wearing concealer on the lips because even the undertones are too light, with Innocence I find the base colour is warmer even though it is the lightest shade in the range.
61 NAKED
A beautiful mauve nude that is just perfect in every way and I have been reaching for this a whole lot this past couple of months. It really is that nude that is your lips, but better.
62 BLISSFUL
This pink truly has me swooning because it's the right pink. Blissful is not too dark or light, just a happy middle ground. It makes me think of a perfect cupcake frosting or the darker parts of pink cotton candy. Also, this one actually leaves a mild stain behind just a F.Y.I. I feel this is a pink that would be complimentary to a lot of different skin tones.
In closing, I love Milani Moisture Matte lipsticks and find it an excellent product, with little to complain about. The biggest upside is that Milani finally changed the scent which was something I wasn't a fan of before, now I adore that oh so sweet Vanilla tone. So big thumbs up to Milani on that much-needed improvement. The only thing I would like to see in time is different bullets, as I am not a huge fan of the shiny gold, but I know a lot of people like it. I just personally find it looks dated, even if that is not the intent.
