REVLON ULTRA HD LIPSTICK HIBISCUS

Hi everyone and welcome back to Makeup'Asylum,

I wanted to share my thoughts on the Revlon ultra hd lipsticks. I picked up one colour (Hibiscus) a while back from the Target closing sale. I happened to find this one colour that had not been ransacked during that fiasco.

REVLON ULTRA HD LIPSTICK
HIBISCUS 3.0G S.R.P. $10-12

WHAT REVLON CLAIMS ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

" A REVOLUTIONARY WAX-FREE GEL TECHNOLOGY FOR TRUE COLOUR CLARITY IN ONE SMOOTH SWIPE. AVAILABLE IN 20 HD SHADES."

I think these lipsticks are quite nice and creamy, and they do not feel heavy on the lips.
I like that the packaging allows you to see the colour clearly for times that a tester may not be available and it's not a guessing game.
The colour smooths over the lips easily with no drag and has a yummy candy scent. I would say the consistency is most similar to the Maybelline colour Whispers, if that helps at all. The overall colour payoff is good with one swipe, but better with a couple of passes over the skin. Hibiscus is a strong orange/coral based colour looking darker in the tube but comes off on my lips looking a lot like cantaloupe.

great shade for summer with a tan

I do like the Revlon Ultra HD lipsticks, but I don't love them, or feel I need more colours. There is nothing super unique about them that would make me run out and buy more especially at $10 a piece. Also the wear time for me was very average at about 4 hours, before needing to reapply. I have other lipsticks that are cheaper and last a lot longer.

HAVE YOU TRIED ANY OF THESE LIPSTICKS, IS THERE A CERTAIN COLOUR YOU LOVE IN THIS LINE?

I hope you all have a great week and thank you for reading here at Makeup'Asylum

  1. This is such a pretty summer shade! The formula looks to be quite rich and creamy, which I like and the yummy scent is definitely a plus as I love tasty smelling lip products.

    1. This would look like such MANGO goodness on you. I read your post on the vanilla/lavander body soufflé and commented, but it wouldn't post. Regardless that sounds so delish almost like I would want to eat it. I find as I am getting older I want products that smell like the real ingredients and not synthetic junk. Sounds like it would be a good match. Thanks for reading Keisha xo
