BARE ENGLISH LIP BALMS 6 ALL NEW FLAVOURS

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas for those of you that celebrate and if you don't that you still had some relaxing time off. 

I want to thank Frank the ceo of Bare English for his continued support to Makeup'Asylum and for sending out these new lip balms along with some delectable raw, organic, fair trade chocolate snowmen. No matter what other products I have tried Bare English still remains the champion of lip balm in my eyes, actually the whole family enjoys the product a lot.

So I am pleased to bring you the 6 new flavours from Bare English and give you my thoughts on them. So lets jump right in.

JUICY PEACH

Imagine walking a farmers market in the first signs of summer and the air is moist and warm, you approach a table full of farm fresh peaches and as you take a bite the juice runs down your hand and the scent encompasses your nose with that heady fragrance that is so distinctive to the fruit. This is what your going to get with the all new juicy peach flavour from Bare English infused with a refreshing white tea base to compliment beautifully.

MANGO ACAI

White sand, hot sun and the fresh clean taste of mango with the rich earthy taste of acai melding in the background for a satisfying tropical fusion. This balm is completed with the vibrancy of green tea.

CHAI TEA LATTE

 A lot of people would associate the warm and spiciness of chai tea with winter, sweaters and sipping tea by the fire. For me I picture zooming around on a Tuk Tuk in India and stopping for a spicy chai tea from the kettle street vendors and explore the rich tapestry that makes up the streets of India.

LEMON MERINGUE

I love anything lemon and especially lemon meringue pie, but that can add on to the waist line. So why not turn to a healthy alternative with no calories. A scrumptious fusion of sunny lemon, hints of cocoa butter with the benefits of white tea to soften and replenish the lips. If you bake or love eating baked goods this lip balm is certainly going to please the senses morning, noon or night.

TINTED CHERRY KISS

Tinted Cherry Kiss is one of my fave lip balms in this new collection. I love that the Cherry scent and taste is spot on. I also like that it imparts a simple flush of colour to the lips without looking unnatural, nothing is sacrificed here and again lovingly blended with white tea. I find sometimes the consistency of a tinted lip balm can change because of the added colour or other additives, but not Bare English it still has that fantastic slip I have come to appreciate from the product. Cherry popsicle for the lips anyone! Great year round 

SWEET PEPPERMINT

When I saw the news that Bare English was releasing a holiday lip balm and it was going to be Sweet Peppermint my holidays were complete. I love that balance of sweet with the clean mouth feeling peppermint gives. This is my top choice next to my beloved forever fave Mint/Chocolate also from Bare English. I love that a peppermint tea was used for this amazing creation and looking forward to using this daily.

All the new flavour's from Bare English are well rounded and offer up something for a variety of tastes. You can choose from light and fruity, sweet gourmand, and warm and spicy. I suggest you give Bare English a try if you still have not, because you are really missing out on a fab product. I hope your all doing well today and wherever you are if its freezing that your all keeping safe and warm. This weather literally has been a drag this year and I have spent a good chunk of this winter in hibernation mode. I find my skin is really suffering too. I have had a couple of unpleasant break outs, dry flakey skin around my nose and cheek area and to top it off I naturally have dry chapped lips, so its worse then ever with this insane cold weather.

I am constantly using lipbalm and ever since I started using Bare English & Co. its not often I ever use any other lip balms unless for testing purposes. So I wanted to share with you all the 4 brand new flavours that will soon be releasing from Bare English. Three will be exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart and the last one will be the first to release at London Drugs.


I wanted to get this post up a.s.a.p. before these new balms make their debut at the Toronto Tea Festival this week-end. The show runs February 1-2 and both days it will be open 10-5. I am such a huge fan of Bare English & Co. and I am thrilled to be one of the first to try out these new flavours and share my findings with you all:)

CUCUMBER MELON- This is a fresh healthy tasting lip balm. I can really taste the essence of cucumber followed up with a mild sweet honey dew finish. I am normally not a fan of cucumber melon anything, but surprisingly I can wear this and I enjoy it, but not my favourite. I can see this being very appealing to many as I know cucumber melon scented or flavoured items tend to be bigger sellers in the beauty world. I just happen to be the person who adores berry flavours and gourmand scents more. This is a green tea infused lip balm.

CHERRY BERRY- As soon as this hits my lips I get a mouth and nose full of delicious ripe berries I especially sense raspberry, possibly blackberry and tart cherry. I adore this one. It reminds me of something from my childhood and I am having trouble placing it, but anything that evokes nostalgia is a winner for me. It goes to show everyone's perception of scent and flavour are different because my son says he smells cinnamon in it as well.

This is a white tea based lip balm

PINK GRAPEFRUIT- I truly feel like I just bit into a piece of grapefruit with this one. I love it, this is so true to taste and for some reason this balm feels extra smooth going on my lips. This is an excellent choice for summer time lips. I feel like having a fresh squeezed glass of grapefruit juice now. Again this is a white tea based balm and leaves a nice clean feeling in the mouth and on the lips.

VANILLA ALMOND- Can I just say right away OMG, this lip balm and I were a match made in heaven. This is perfect. You get the clean white tea mixed with the warm comforting smell and taste of vanilla, but that oh so yummy nutty impact from the almond. So going on a side note I love almonds. I am crazy about them in many different ways, toasted, in salad, candied, and one of my favourite desserts as a child was "Almond Torte" and the best one came from Fabians Café on Markham road in Scarborough, Ontario. Also every Christmas growing up I always got marzipan pigs, fruit or Zentis marizipan potatoes, which are a sweet confectionary made with almond paste and is a popular German treat. I also distinctly remember my obsession with beauty and products all started from a young age the moment I smelt and used the original Vidal Sassoon in the late 80's. It came in a coffee brown coloured bottle and smelt very much like almonds and in my mind was one of the very best shampoos ever. Coming back to the now, maybe you can all see why this balm is my #1 pick of all the new flavours with Pink Grapefruit following as a close second.

First one is
MINT CHOCOLATE
I'll start by saying that mint chocolate can be a difficult flavour to pull off. I have tried many mint chocolate flavoured and scented items which usually have a funky undertone that I do not like. So kudos to Bare English for nailing this right out of the park and giving me what I always wanted a mint chocolate that tastes as good as it smells.

 

As you can see each tube offers up a great amount of product with no crazy colours added. There is only 10 ingredients to make up this tube of goodness, peppermint tea leaves is one of them.

 

Then I also grabbed the

VANILLA COCONUT

For those that have read many of my other blogs you then will know vanilla and coconut are bar none two of my most beloved flavours and scents. So this purchase was a given:)

 

 

I actually really like the shape of these lip balms as well because is actually covers your entire lip surface in one clean sweep.

 

 

The vanilla coconut smells like a Tahitian dream or a vanilla nut cupcake. Decadence for your lips with the goodness of green tea.

 

The last one which I do not have as of yet is Pomegranate Berry which is a yummy berry blend mingling with white tea.

 

Each tube contains 4.44ml of product and because of the natural elements of this product they do have expiration dates clearly marked on the box.
