ROUND UP THE CHILDREN ITS FAMILY HALLOWEEN MOVIE NIGHT

GOOD DAY EVERYONE,

Ok before I start this I want to make a *DISCLAIMER*, it is essential that you as the parent view any of these movies I list before allowing your children to watch them.  I say this because everyone's idea of age appropriateness can differ quite a bit. My son has been watching Ghostbusters since he was 3, where as other parents have been shocked when I tell them that. So please these are only suggestions and should be used at your discretion. I would say most of the movies I am listing today would be fine for between the ages of 6-12, but YOU are the parent of your child not me and I will NOT be held responsible if you decide to let your child watch any of the following movies and you come back to complain about any thematic elements in them. "DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU"

So my own child loves movies that have some element of scary, but nothing to outrageous, nor would I let him watch anything I consider movies for older people. So when the family sits down to watch child friendly Halloween movies, these are our top picks. ENJOY

"A REEL SPOOKY TAG" MY FAVOURITE SCARY MOVIES

WELL HELLO THERE,

I thought for a change of pace, but sticking with this months Halloween theme lets do a Top favourite scary movie tag (ANYONE CAN DO THIS) make sure to credit me for this, that's all I ask. You can list as many or as little as you like (I have done 25 + a bonus title)

As I have now mentioned in a previous post I love all things Halloween related and ever since I was 10 I have had a serious passion for scary movies. I don't like movies that are super gory and have no real good story line. I like movies that have that jump factor because they truly are haunting or unexpected twists. Also movies that offer elements like ghosts, goblins, witches, Frankenstein, that kind of thing, I am old school with my interest in the horror genre. I think I have compiled a great offering of movies old and new. HOPE YOU ALL LIKE IT

Here are my favourite movies in no specific order

1. GHOSTBUSTERS (1984)

2. THE WOMAN IN BLACK (2012)

3. THE OTHERS (2001)

4."PHYSCO" (1960) (Alfred Hitchcock is brilliant)

5. THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW (1988)

6. FLATLINERS (1990)

7. ROSEMARY'S BABY (1968)

8. SILENT HILL

9. THE OMEN (1976)

10. THE CRAFT (1996)

11.THE EXORCIST (1973)

12. THE SHINING (1980)

13. DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK (2010)

14. THE GRUDGE (2004)

15. THE CHANGELING (1980)

16. THE SIXTH SENSE (1999)

17. HALLOWEEN (1978)

18. POLTERGEIST (1982)

19. THE ORPHANAGE (2007)

20.DOLLS (1987)

21. EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE (2005)

22. HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT (2009)

23.LOST BOYS (1987)

24. SOMETIMES THEY COME BACK (1991)

25.SILVER BULLET (1985)

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST ONE OF THE OLDEST AND TRUEST CLASSIC MOVIES THAT SET THE FOUNDATION FOR HORROR AND THE LOVE OF VAMPIRES

26. NOSFERATU (1922)

That concludes my vast collection of favourite horror, scary, Halloween type movies. Everyones idea of scary or spooky is different and I don't expect anyone to agree with all of my choices, but I tried to stick with movies that offer up some element of those things I noted. I for one have watched all these movies many times and don't find really any of them that scary anymore and "The Craft"...well that's just my guilty pleasures movie from the 90's haha.

I can't wait to hear what some of you consider your favourites and I hope in doing this tag you may have discovered some movies you've never even heard of and will try to watch. Let me know in the comments:)

STAY TUNED AS I WILL BE DOING ANOTHER POST ON MOVIES FOR HALLOWEEN BUT THIS TIME IT'S ONES SUITABLE FOR KIDS OF VARIOUS AGES, HOPE YOU'LL COME BACK TO READ.

MUUUUAAAAAHAHAHAH....;)
