NEW ALMAY CC CREAM & COLOR + CARE LIQUID LIP BALM REVIEW

Today I will be reviewing for you the NEW Almay CC cream as well as their new liquid lip balm.

BOTH ITEMS WERE GIFTED TO ME

SMART SHADE CC CREAM 200- LIGHT/MEDIUM
(SRP.$15)

I for one have been a big fan of bb creams especially the real Korean ones, so when I heard that companies would be bringing out the CC creams at first I didn't quite understand what the difference was. So basically the bb cream is a heavier coverage that tends to be more like foundation. The idea with CC cream is to basically hide your imperfections without hiding your own skin.

I do feel this cc cream does a nice job of correcting the mild redness in my skin because of it's yellow beige base. However you will still need to spot conceal more problematic areas as it will not hide red pimple spots completely. It does do a good job evening out the skins overall texture and tone. If you are a person with reasonably good skin then this will work really well for you.

For me this looks really nice when I first apply and it doesn't oxidize on my skin, but my face gets extremely slick looking especially in this current heat. I tested this recently on one of the hottest days and I was out for a few hours walking and carrying bags so I was working up a good sweat. So all though my face looked very oily I will say it stayed on and it actually didn't look bad up close.
I imagine for drier skin this will be a good choice and for me will probably do well come the cooler months.

Due to my skin being naturally very oily I did not find it difficult to apply this, but I do recommend buffing it out with a brush to make it look more ideal.

COLOR + CARE LIQUID LIP BALM 100- JUST PLUM GOOD
(SRP.$10)
I like this liquid lip balm even though I find it a touch oily, but the colour I have imparts a nice berry rich stain that looks like the lips are just naturally red with a bit of shine, nothing overly dramatic.

It is very smoothing on the lips and to me it smells exactly like the candy apples at the fair.

All the glosses are gluten free and hypoallergenic. The liquid lip balms are offered up in 10 divine colours. Each tube offers a generous .24fl oz/7.1ml

Even though the cc cream was a bit oily for my already oily skin I would still recommend it because it does look nice on for the most part and the gloss is definitely worth a try and I may just pick myself up the colour "pink pout" too.

Hope you found this review helpful in deciding whether you to want to give these products a try, till next time

STAY BEAUTIFUL
