Schwarzkopf BC BonaCure hairtherapy cell perfector products

Hi Ladies & Gents,

Today on my blog I have two items that were sent to me for review from the Schwarzkopf line and its the new range called BONACURE.
This new range of hair care has six area's of focus to help get your hair to natural perfection, which are

  • Moisture Kick
  • Repair Rescue
  • Color Freeze
  • Smooth Perfect
  • Volume Boost
  • Time Restore

The two items I received are Color Freeze Gloss Serum and the Smooth Perfect smoothing cream. Lets take a look.

BONACURE SMOOTH PERFECT
SMOOTHING CREAM
APPROX. $25

Normally I don't tend to use products like this because they usually weigh down my hair and make it even oilier then it is already. However I find as I am getting older I do notice small unruly hairs along my hairline and somewhat mixed in with my otherwise straight hair. So if I plan on putting it in a ponytail, which I am able to do now that my hair is getting longer, it works really well for taming and smoothing it for sleek perfection. If I am in hurry I will just brush my hair and throw it up into a ponytail, but more times then not I like to take my time and make a very manicured super smooth pony.
As for the product itself  it comes in 125ml tube and has a very similar consistency to good hand cream. Working it through your hair is quick and simple and i have also tried it buy applying it to my damp hair and blow drying it out and my hair looks smooth, but doesn't loose the volume, the little I do have.

Here is what the tube says:

"With new cell perfector technology containing amnio  smoothener to nourish and discipline coarse or unruly hair. while working at a cellular level to restore structure and tame frizz for up to 4 days.

Now can I vouch for the last claim of tame frizz for up to 4 days??? NO because I wash my hair everyday. Then again if it's penetrating the hair shaft and still working at a cellular level even after each washing, then I need to pay closer attention and will have to follow up regarding that. Also I should mention this product smells phenom. fresh and a bit floral, but definitely in a good way. Its like that shampoo you can't stop smelling in the bottle or on your hair.
I highly recommend this product especially those of you that struggle with truly unruly hair, you will thank me later;)

Moving on the item is the

BONACURE COLOR FREEZE
GLOSS SERUM
APROX. RETAIL $25

What does Color Freeze, gloss serum promise???
Here are the details

"Reduce split ends for coloured hair and minimize hair breakage. For long lasting colour and mirror like shine. Use the Colour Freeze range.

Just a side note you need very very little of this product to achieve the shine they talk about. You would just run it over the lengths of your hair and your good to go. I can say that other then my root grow out the bottom portion of my hair that has dye still looks as vibrant as it did about a week after I dyed it which was 10 weeks ago now. I try to really space out how often I re-dye my hair and do occasional trimmings which keeps my hair incredibly healthy.

This hair serum has a perfect slip. I would say it most closely mimics a high quality lubricant. Also this product too smells amazing like baby powder, I could smell it all day that is how much I like it. My husband liked it as well, he said it's gentle powdery scent without being crazy fragrant to the point of choking.

I really appreciate having the opportunity to have tried out this innovative new line from Schwarzkopf BonaCure and hope you try it to if you spot it in your favourite salon. You won't be disappointed.

  1. The color freeze really interests me. I dye my hair a reddish color and the color fades so fast! I just purchased a product by Nexxus that is supposed to prolong the color...we will see.

    1. I do really like, but would love to hear about it on hair colored with red. I have had my hair dyed every colour known to man and i agree Red is one of the hardest to maintain next to platinum blonde. Also red is a colour that can go really bad if not done right. Thanks for reading and commenting. :)

  2. That smoothing cream sounds like it would work for me. When I put my hair back in a bun I get those fly always on top of my head...this may work well at taming them. Normally I take a pair of scissors and chip away at them lol!

  3. I'd love to try Color Freeze serum. I have a streak of hair that I dye Teal and it turns into a puke green color :( after about three washes. And I'm too lazy to keep up with coloring so I just pull my hair to one side so it's not noticeable lol.

    Love your reviews! So detailed!

    1. Bahaha "Puke" green very descriptive wording. Yes any fun bold colours can fade into not so pleasant odd shades. Hopefully you can locate this product near you and give it a try. Also if its just a small area you use it on, it will last a really long time so it's worth paying the $25
Thanks for reading Love, hope things are going well with your new home:)
