Hi everyone,
Happy week-end hope the weather is good where ever you are. Sadly I woke this morning to a smattering of snow yet again, this weather is ridiculous.
So today is all about TONY MOLY they recently opened what I believe to be their first Canadian location. This new boutique is located in "Pacific Mall" in Markham Ontario. So if you live in the GTA make a trip to Markham soon as I noticed more popular boutiques are making there way on to Canadian soil.
Starting with the eyes I purchased a mascara called double needs PANG PANG MASCARA
and it holds close to my heart because it is the most amazing electric blue I have seen in a long time. I can see fibers in this mascara and these are its claims. "It is easy cleaning, no panda, all day setting."
I have been using this mascara daily switching between it and the Maybelline Rocket. I love this mascara it has great staying power, it is easy to clean and no micro dots on your face from it. The color is fantastic and it very much reminds me of the good old days when Maybelline had the bright blue great lash.
This mascara does a nice job of separating the eyelashes as well. As you can see it has a standard bristle brush with no fancy silicone or odd spikes at the tip. Some of the wands now are becoming more bizarre all the time. They look like a weapon for a sci-fi film or something. In terms of price this mascara is very comparable and in line with any brands that you buy at big box stores or drug stores. Tony Moly was having a discount for the grand opening so I paid about $8.99 it is normally $12 it is a standard size tube at 12g.
***********A MUST TRY FOR FANS OF BLUE MASCARA************
Up next we have lip products.
I spotted this gorgeous lip gloss, I can tell you what type it is but I have no idea what the color is as it is all in Korean. It is called CRYSTAL GLAM COLOR GLOSS. It is one of the nicest lip glosses I have bought lately and it the most lovely pinkish purple with a fine glitter. I just love this gloss and it does not feel tacky on the lips and has a nice smell and taste. It actually reminds me of the product a few years back by L'Oreal called "glam shine holographic"

This lip gloss has a generous amount not sure specifically again as its all in Korean print. It cost me with discount $7.49.
Then the sales lady mentioned that if I like a gloss but also a nice stain to try this next product which I think is super cool.
It's called BERRY BERRY MAGIC So these lip pots have a gel like gloss in them they are both translucent but one is clear and one is a deep raspberry color. Upon application it only takes a moment and they change color on your lip and stain them this really nice red that I feel will compliment many skin tones it looks so natural and gives your lips that truly natural bee stung look.
The swatch looks quite light but as it continues to warm with your body temperature it deepens but not harsh or to over the top. These will last a very long time and the added bonus was because it was the Grand Opening I got these for $5.70 as it was a BOGO offer.
Moving along and lastly is three nail polishes and they too were all on sale.
I have not had a chance to actually wear them and see how long they last on busy hands but I love the colors no less.
First is a Super bright neon GREEN
The one thing I did notice with this nail polish line is it has a funny undertone that reminds me off Paper Mate white out, YIKES.
Then I also grabbed a bright neon pink
and lastly a very true bubble gum pink
These are very fun bright colors perfect for Spring and Summer, these again were on special the neon pink and green were $3 and the bubble gum pink was $2, great deals. There were many other colors to choose from but I had to maintain.
I could have easily bought a lot of other items I found interesting that I would like to try, but I was already at Pacific Mall for other purposes. I will be visiting Tony Moly again soon.
It is important to remember that now that Asian cosmetics are becoming more attainable in Canada we can all discover great new products instead of always buying the same brands over and over. You as a buyer/consumer sell your self short by not being adventurous in the world of cosmetics. As we say in Canada "IT'S YOURS TO DISCOVER" ;)
That's everything for today and I hope you all have a great week-end
Coming soon: NYX huge haul and review, Gosh Nail polish, Ceramic Glaze, Limited edition Essence Line, Perfume reviews, L'Oreal trendsetter nail polish collection and much much more...
STAY BEAUTIFUL XO
Nice were the prices decent? I've been ordering online from http://www.goodforlooks.com Thankfully they offer free shipping because shipping is so expensive in Canada
ReplyDeleteThe few items I bought were part of their grand opening sale so it was reasonable. However I checked out some of their specialty face creams and found them to be quite pricey. However I have heard and read that their new cc cream is good and the price is in line with many other Asian ones out there. Also the intensive snail hand cream is really good but you only get 60ml for $17, which isn't great. Thanks for reading:)
