THE FACE SHOP 2nd visit

Hi everyone,

         So today its miserable weather here in the GTA and even though the temperature is moving up I have had enough of the gloominess and grey tones.

Tone.....Tone you say! well even the weather can affect how our skin is feeling and its tone to, that's why I wanted to share these two beautiful products with you. I am going to try to keep it short. 

I purchased last week from the Face Shop in Markham, Ontario two products that I had samples of and fell in love with so I went back for the full size items. They are apparently one of the popular lines of product that Face Shop carries. That is the RICE WATER BRIGHT line.
There are 9 products in this line that range from facial cleanser to a massage facial cream. The added bonus with these products are that they only use certified organic rice when blending the products.

So my two favorite products in this line have quickly become the Cleansing foam and the Cleansing rich oil.

First off if you are a person that uses a lot of makeup or you prefer using bb or cc cream then the cleansing rich oil is for you. You would think "oh no I can't use that its oil and my face is oily." However I truly believe you can battle oil with oil. Your giving back to your skin what usually gets stripped away when washing your face. Trust me my face is very oily, but in the week I have been using this product I noticed a difference in the quality of my face and complexion. My husband even said my skin looks more luminous, well maybe not exactly like that most husbands don't use those words its more like "your face looks different" lol.
My face almost feels a little more youthful and has a dewiness to it that is enjoyable. It also claims to naturally brighten the skin which I guess in essence that's what we are noticing.

So this product comes in a 150ml/5.07fl oz. bottle with a very sanitary and convenient pump top. The price for this is $15.50

The consistency of this is very similar to a lighter weight baby oil

I also wanted to add this product has such a light, gentle clean smell that I can not even compare to anything else and I LOVE it.

 

My other favorite product in this line that I use as a companion to the oil for my morning face washing is the cleansing foam. This cleanser has that same gorgeous smell and gives an amazing creamy lather. Also you do not need much of either of these products to achieve good cleaning results.

 

 

The foaming cleanser comes in two different sizes. If you have never tried it before see if you can get a sample packet in store (usually with a purchase) or purchase the smaller tube which is 150ml for $12. However because I used the sample I had for about 3 days and felt it was worth buying I opted for the big honking tube which is 300ml of glorious lather for $19, obviously the better buy as well. I feel that this product went above and beyond my expectations and hope you all try it and I realize for some it still may not be what your looking for, but for others this just may become your go to cleanser.

 

So next time your near " THE FACE SHOP" go in take a look around, but do your research online before hand so you can pinpoint specific products you may want to try and your not aimlessly walking around with no clue what to try first, but at least I have provided you with a good starting point.

 

Also on a side note as I was standing at the check out I noticed some various make up tools to my right and I was on the hunt for a new emery board and I grabbed this

 

 

However even at $1.50 to my dismay I get home and realize its not a nail file but instead a "high shine 2 step buffer," well that certainly is not going to help a big old break in the nail. No less it is still pretty girlie and cute. Wait! what? did I just say girlie and cute in the same sentence? something must be wrong with me today lol.
