NYX PART 4 NUDE ON NUDE PALETTE AND JUMBO EYE PENCILS

HAPPY FRIDAY TO ALL,

So the whole week was about reviewing NYX products and thank you to those who continue to read and show an interest. I actually have to do one more review for the largest piece I purchased from NYX but that won't be posting till Monday.

One of the most popular palettes to hit the cosmetic market is obviously Urban Decays NAKED PALETTE'S 1 & 2. Here in Canada each of those palettes are $60, so for someone like myself can I justify $135 for 24 eyeshadows? No I can't unless it was a gift or purchased for a special holiday. So after reading many reviews and hearing a few people on YouTube speak about this palette I decided to give the NYX NUDE ON NUDE palette a try. Actually the person that some what influenced my decision to finally try this palette was Wayne who runs the YouTube channel GOSSMAKEUPARTIST. If you are not familiar with Wayne then I don't know where you have been and you must check him out, he is brilliant and has a lot of wonderful ideas to share and he is a pleasure to watch. Also he has impeccable taste and he has tried the best of everything in cosmetics so if he says this palette is worth buying I trust his judgement.
The NUDE ON NUDE palette offers 20 colors all in varying neutral shades, half are matte and half are satin finish. This clever palette also comes with a small pull out drawer that offers up 10 various lip glosses. Most people however never find themselves actually using those palette glosses unless its being used as a quick fix or as part of a makeup artist kit.  It still will be fun to try out with various looks. I have already used this palette everyday since I got it and I really like it because its practical.

I did swatch a few of the colors just so that others can see the pigmentation. Let me know your thoughts in the comments if you have tried this palette and feel its comparable to the Naked palettes if you have tried them as well.
The great thing about this palette is there is little to no fall out when applying and again I imagine if you want to step it up a notch using them wet would intensify the pigmentation even more.
I feel this is a great set for anyone looking for a less expensive alternative to the naked palette and hope others out there will give this a try.
$29.99 Cad or $25 U.S and I will definitely purchase this again.

The only other items I wanted to mention today is the "Jumbo Eye Pencils." When I was a teenager it was common place to wear color on your waterline and then we saw it disappear for a while and now its recycled once again. I purchased two colors to try and that is 604 MILK and 622A ELECTRIC BLUE. My thoughts on these pencils are that you can get very comparable quality using the Rimmel Scandaleyes stick and they around the same price its just easier to get Rimmel products as they are every where. Actually the NYX Electric Blue and Rimmel Scandaleyes in Tempting Turquoise are exactly the same as I have both and did a swatch comparison side by side.

                                             ELECTRIC BLUE

                                              MILK

The one thing I found to be a downside with the pencil in MILK is it doesn't have great staying power on the water line and find myself using my Bonne Bell eye define in Glow sooner because it stays on longer. However I am wearing Milk as eyeliner today and its doing a better job staying there.
I overall appreciate the concept of the jumbo eye pencils because they are compact and easy to throw in your makeup bag or purse. There is 32 different pencils to choose from on the NYX's websites so check them out because you get a decent 5g/.18oz for only $5.99 Cad or $4.50 U.S

The other draw back to any of these jumbo eye pencils/sticks is that they sharpen very poorly. Not a fan of that feature would prefer a self sharpening style pencil instead.
I do however look forward to trying the slide on pencils by NYX very soon as they seem very similar to Urban Decays Glide on eye pencils and there is a big price difference. NYX is $10 versus UD $19

That's it for this review join me again Monday for the last and final NYX product which is the SOHO GLAM COLLECTION KIT.

COMING SOON REVIEWS ON L'OREAL TRENDSETTER NAIL POLISH COLLECTION, BABE QUADS FROM SEDONA LACE, TARGET GOODIES HAUL AND MUCH MORE.

ENJOY YOUR WEEK-END EVERYONE

STAY BEAUTIFUL
