Hi Everyone,
On the week end I happen to be at a mall that had an "Absolute Dollar" store. The only reason I was going in there was to get some drinks. However I happened to notice in one section a bunch of cosmetics.
Now believe me I am as leery as the next person about purchasing items from dollar type discount stores because some products are either completely unheard of, counterfeit or in general just seem sketchy.
However I took a chance on the following few items. I see it this way if there are any issues I will chalk it up to a loss and it was only a few dollars.
The first thing is actually a known brand so this was a decent find in my opinion it is a set by KleanColor called RETRO CITY and its six mini nail polishes in super metallic colours.
I also purchased a small palette by PROFUSION that offers 9 different colours which 7 are bright and bold and there are 4 neutrals and 1 black.
I have seen a few people on YouTube review some Profusion products and for the most part it's been all positive comments.
I decided to swatch the last row of colours with primer and without to show any differences in colour transfer and intensity. The top row on my arm is with NYX jumbo pencil in MILK as my base.
I like this palette as well especially the colours in the top row. However the very first pink on the bottom row is really hard and has a very dry texture and the colour quality was not as good as any of the other's in either of the palettes. A bit strange. As you can see both of these palettes colour payoff is quite impressive considering they were only $3 and each shadow is fairly generous in size.
So again if you have tried OUMEIDIE or PROFUSION products please let me know. Even if you haven't and know something that is negative about either please let me know in the comments right away as I don't want to potentially be poisoning myself with a bad product. Please make sure you information is from a reliable source and not just hear say. Thank you
I am fully aware of the troubles that lurk within the cosmetic industry and many companies that have less then desirable testing methods, quality control and ingredient content. I still like to hear from others who have more information to provide.
Thanks as always for reading and more to come at MAKEUP'ASYLUM standby and

METALLIC ORANGE
METALLIC GREEN
METALLIC AQUA
METALLIC SAPPHIRE
METALLIC FUSCHIA (YES THATS HOW IT'S SPELT ON KLEANCOLORS SITE AND ON PACKAGE AND BOTTLE?!)
METALLIC BLACK
All these colours are super high shine metallic and ultra rich in colour intensity. The pics are only one coat. Out of all of them my favorite is the orange its nice and bright and on point for summer. My only complaint with KleanColor is the smell especially these metallic's, it's very strong and questionable about their over all ingredient content and quality control. All in all I do like these polishes and will be fun to use here and there. I should add though that the dark blue stains the nail quite badly which I read from other users of this particular polish, so BEWARE.I also purchased a small palette by PROFUSION that offers 9 different colours which 7 are bright and bold and there are 4 neutrals and 1 black.

I would definitely say the darker shades are very nicely pigmented, the lighter shades I am meh! about them. They are still usable though for highlighting. They are very soft eyeshadows so you will notice build up when using your brush or applicator to get some out of the palette. I applied some with my finger to my eye and did not see any fall out though. The only thing I don't like is the powder scent in this palette due to I guess the talc in it which isn't great. However just for curiosity sake I checked out my Revlon Photoready palette and it has talc as well you just can't smell it. I don't think anything for around the eye should have fragrance of any kind.
I think this is a nice little palette which is 12g and it was only $2, but would be better without the scent.
These next two palette's I am quite astounded with the colours and pigmentation they are by a company called OUMEIDIE. If any of you are familiar with this brand at all please leave me any information you have on this. I have looked on line and found some things about it including these two palettes specifically, but I would like to know more.
These ones are pearl eyeshadows
PALETTE #2
TOP ROW
BOTTOM ROW
The palette itself is eye catching (no pun intended), vibrant and gorgeous. I love all of the colours and can't wait to do many looks with them. The two blues look close in colour in the picture, but are quite different in person. The one thing I did notice is some colours feel a bit chalky, but I have tried worse by well known brands so I can live with this.
PALETTE 3
TOP ROW
BOTTOM ROW
I decided to swatch the last row of colours with primer and without to show any differences in colour transfer and intensity. The top row on my arm is with NYX jumbo pencil in MILK as my base.
