As mentioned at the end of my previous blog on Revlon lipstick and glosses I said I would be reviewing two of the matte lipsticks and here we are.
For good measure I also bought another new colour in the Super Lustrous Gloss line as well.
So getting started Shoppers Drug Mart had a sale on the Revlon matte lipsticks for $6.99. However moving forward to today they also have them at Walmart and their everyday price is $6.97.:/ Just some food for thought readers.
Any way the first colour I picked was 002 PINK POUT. If you love matte lipstick and are on the hunt for an affordable perfect nude pink then this is the one. I can honestly say it's been years since I used a Mac lipstick, but in retrospect I can say comfortably that these lipsticks are similar. I feel this is a close dupe to Mac's "Pink Plaid" matte lipstick.

The only other lipstick I love equally as much that is a nude pink but not a matte formulation is NYX creamy round lipstick called "POWER."
The one thing I have to focus on is moisturizing my lips nightly to ensure a flawless application of matte lipstick. I tend to get dry chapped lips easily so it takes some work. There is nothing I dislike more then opaque coloured lipstick that is caking around the flaky dry skin on a persons lips.
The other colour I chose from this matte line is absolutely stunning and will be one of my staple colours for summer, that is SMOKED PEACH. This is the kind of lipstick I can see myself reaching for daily and not getting tired of it. I find it daunting when you enjoy a product so much only to discover one day they are discontinuing it, which seems to be the story of my life with cosmetics. So a second tube of this might be in order, not saying it's being discontinued, just covering all bases.
This peach colour is so pretty on the lips and is not super bright, its much more muted when seen in person. It can easily wear day or night and on a variety of skin tones as well.
So if your looking for some sexy matte lipsticks to officially kick off your summer, then head to a store near you such as Shopper's Drug Mart, Walmart, PharmaPlus, etc.
The last item is another new colour from the Super Lustrous glosses that recently came out. I always love that soft, gentle, barely there pink gloss. A gloss that just gives the lips a wet look with a subtle kiss of colour. That's what your going to get with Revlon's gloss in the colour SNOW PINK
Pale with a very fine gold sparkle throughout.
I do for the most part like the way these glosses wear throughout the day, but do need touch ups. The only dislike I have is that the ones with sparkle in them tend to feel a bit gritty when I press my lips together. So just be aware. They do have cream formulations also if your not a fan of any glitter or sparkle.
So all the items shown here were $6.99
Gloss is 3.2g
Lipsticks are 4.2g
Let me know in the comments what your favorite lipstick colours are from Revlon or if you plan to try any of the one's I mentioned here.
Thanks for reading and....
STAY BEAUTIFUL XO
