WHEN YOUR THIS GOOD YOU CAN GO "NEARLY NAKED" REVLON

Hi  everyone,

In October I decided to purchase and try out the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. I generally prefer to try out products for a few weeks before reviewing it so that I can provide the most accurate and truthful information about the product. I have read several very positive reviews regarding this product and it seemed like something I would want to try. I got a great deal on it which was $6.99 as foundation prices here in Canada are quite high even at drugstore level.

The bottle itself is glass and very basic which is befitting to the idea of a no makeup type foundation that keeps it clean and simple. However there is no pump on this bottle and you either would put a finger over the hole and shake it to get product, or pour a bit in your hand, or on a cosmetic mixing plate (if you have one). I tend to use either my finger tips to apply or a brush and then buff it out with my kabuki.

As you can see this foundation is very fluid and it does tend to give you a more natural semi-sheer coverage, it can be built up, but is definitely NOT a full coverage foundation. I find I usually reach for this foundation when I am in a hurry or when my skin is at its very best.

I opted for the shade 130 Shell and it tends to work well with my complexion has it leans a bit yellow and helps cancel out the redness in my skin.

There is a very mild smell, as I wouldn't say its a scent to this foundation that is not bothersome and overall I do like it. I noticed it does give a beautiful finish upon application and especially if buffed with a brush and set with a powder. However as the day progresses and especially if you sweat doing any vigorous activities it then seems to sit on the surface of the skin, which I don't like, but you can then buff it again with your brush and it seems to meld with your skin again.
I can honestly say I still prefer my Physicians Formula Super BB cream which I know I have mentioned numerous times, but you have to stick with what works best for your individual skin type, and that happens to be mine.

CONCLUSION

  • So would I recommend this foundation? YES
  • Would I say it wears all day? No
  • Would I say it's suitable for all skin types? For the most part yes except people who suffer from dry flaky skin
  • Would I say its suitable for sensitive skin? YES
  • Would I say it's money well spent? YES
  • Would I repurchase it? Yes because it's a good back up in place of my PF BB

So there you have it ladies and gents, Hope you enjoyed my thoughts on Revlon's NEARLY NAKED foundation and I hope you all have a wonderful day. Thanks for reading:)

    1. I am going to try primer next time I use it. I have a colour correcting primer by PUR minerals that I should start using more often. Thanks for reminding me LOL;P As I said though over all pretty satisfied. Thanks Liz

  4. I know Liz loves this foundation but knowing that it doesn't work well for those with dry skin I think I will be giving this a skip. Thank you so much for sharing this because I believe we get more accurate information from bloggers than we do any other source. (◕‿◕✿)
