BATH AND BODY WORKS CANDLES

Hi everyone,

Today is a just a quick look at three of my very favourite scented candles from Bath & Body works. I don't normally review them as I tend to only buy a couple at a time and burn them very quick before I realize Hey! I should have reviewed those. However this time darn it I am reviewing them. So here we go.

My #1 fave candle is the FROSTED CUPCAKE, it smells so delicious to the point I want to eat it or go and start baking cake/cupcakes, it has a truly rich creamy vanilla scent. It also kind of reminds me of the small vanilla tealights sold at Ikea which I also adore.

Next is the FROSTED CRANBERRY which really is a traditional holiday sort of scent (to me anyway) with a bit of sweet and tang mingling with essence of raspberry and peach which are only very mildly there. This is the type of scent that seems to crop up in little Christmas boutiques and when you walk in it smells so inviting. Great way to reel people in to shop;P

Lastly is MAHOGANY TEAKWOOD I find this to be a very masculine smelling candle reminiscent of men's cologne, but that's not a bad thing. This is the run down from B&B website for the description
Revel in the cozy fine woods fragrances of mahogany, cedarwood and oak, highlighted by delicate lavender and geranium notes.

I do smell a mix of what is described as it is a very woodsy scent and very warm and spicy.

Just beware not to burn this one to long as I find that it does tend to get a bit overpowering and can make the air feel a bit chocky.

I find the 4oz candles work best for my space, but some people feel it better off to buy the larger 3 wick candles. The candles do burn fairly even, but I don't like that the base of the wick is raised above the last bit of candle wax and you still have enough for more burn time, but can't finish it all. So I have started melting down the last bits and pouring them into one jar which creates a big layered assortment. Yes you don't have a wick, but if you are using your stove and put it on top it will warm and disperse the smell and no wax goes to waste.

I also love repurposing the B&B candle jars as they clean up nicely, look good and can be used for many other things around the home.

I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on B&B Works candles and come back soon for more from Makeup'Asylum

xoxo
