BEAUTY CROWN 2013 WEEK#2 FACE MAKEUP PRODUCTS

The Beauty Crown Awards are a yearly favorites collaborative effort including beauty bloggers around the globe. The Beauty Crown Awards were created by Lily from Beauty with Lily Liz from My Pretty Obsessions, Jackie from Five Two Certified, and Shalunya from Shalunya & Boyet. We felt that a collaborative effort from a large number of beauty bloggers would be much more interesting to our readers and would garner more attention. The Beauty Crown Awards are a 5 week event with each week covering types of products.

Week 1 - Personal Care Products - Dec 2 - Dec 8, 2013
Week 2 - Facial Products - Dec 9 - Dec 15, 2013
Week 3 - Lip & Nail Products - Dec 16 - Dec 22, 2013
Week 4 - Eye & Misc Products - Dec 23 - Dec 29, 2013
Week 5 - Facial Care Products & Tools - Dec 30 - Jan 4, 2014

So lets go a head and take a look at my week two favorites for "FACIAL MAKEUP PRODUCTS", hope you too will try something I recommend and don't forget to follow Makeup'Asylum's blog and find me on Twitter @BonCoconutty and on Instagram at NEWMAKEUPASYLUM.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA SUPER BB CREAM IN LIGHT/MEDIUM
This bb cream matches my skin perfectly and wears excellent all day long and does not irritate my skin at all and provides adequate coverage for redness, scaring and any small spots.

ANNA SUI MOISTURE RICH FLUID FOUNDATION P05
This foundation gives a beautiful dewy finish to the skin and makes for quite a flawless finish. I wasn't sure this would be good for my oily skin, but it has worked out well, especially in the dry cold weather. The only thing I am not a fan of is the "ROSE" scent, but I can deal with it.

MISSHA M SIGNATURE REAL COMPLETE BLENDING PRIMER
I only have two face primers and this would be my first choice out of the two. It is very light weight and your skin really drinks it up and leaves a smooth velvety surface prior to foundation application. It has an iridescent finish that makes the skin more luminous. It is quite fragrant, but the smell is decent.

NYC SMOOTH SKIN LIQUID CONCEALER
This concealer is creamy without being to thick and is totally inexpensive which is a plus. It is very light and does a decent job around the eyes, I wouldn't advise this for those with very dark circles as it only mildly covers it. I find this concealer better for smoothing the eyelid skin and spot treatment for red pimples.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA MINERAL WEAR TALC-FREE AIRBRUSHING PRESSED POWDER SPF 30 IN BEIGE
I use this pressed powder every day as part of my daily routine, sometimes I even apply this without anything else and call it a day. Its very good for absorbing oil and giving a very flawless finish hence being called "airbrushing". I have other pressed powders as back ups, but this is my fave hands down

PHYSICIANS FORMULA MINERAL GLOW PEARLS IN TRANSLUCENT PEARL
I have been on the hunt for a nice highlighter and decided to give this one a try since everything else from PF has never let me down. I am glad I did get this, again I use it every day and it just gives the most perfect subtle glow on the tops of the cheek bone without your skin starting to look plastic.
I also like that all PF compacts come with a mirror and small brush in a separate compartment underneath the product itself. I highly recommend trying something from PF I don't believe you will be disappointed, especially if you have very sensitive skin like I do.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA BRONZE BOOSTER AIRBRUSHING BRONZING VEIL DELUXE EDITION IN MEDIUM/DARK
I would think at this point in the season of winter I would not still be using this, but its the best bronzer that I can use year round. As long as I use it sparingly I can just give my skin a nice bit of a Sunkist glow like I have been out on the ski slopes. Love the finish, does not make the skin to crazy with shimmer

I also wanted to share my fave bronzer I use only in the summer when my skin is darker which is

COVERGIRL TRUBLEND MINERAL BRONZER IN 435 GOLDEN SUNRISE
This is a loose mineral bronzer, that has to be used with a gentle hand. However it is very rich and deep like you have been laid out at the beach for hours, just beware it does have micro fine glitter and if used to much can be quite noticeable. Blends into the skin really nicely. Also if you sweat I have not noticed any issues with streaking which can occur with fake tan or bronzer products.

MAYBELLINE DREAM BOUNCY BLUSH IN 50 PLUM WINE
I am generally not much of a blush wearer as you will learn in an upcoming post on my blog, but I think I have found one I am finally happy with. I really like this concept of a cream to powder type product for blush. I feel this applies well, a little goes along way and gives a gorgeous natural flushed finish. This is one of the darkest shade offerings so you don't have to go bonkers with it. This product will be especially good for those who want to wear blush, but tend to have dry cheek patches because it has a creamy consistency as appose to powder adhering to dry spots on the cheeks.

As you can see my main love affair for face makeup products is Physicians Formula and I can not say enough good things about their products. I am so looking forward to a dozen new items due for release in 2014.

HOPE YOU ALL ENJOYED MY CHOICES AND COME BACK SOON FOR MORE FROM MAKEUP'ASYLUM

    1. It's been fun all of us sharing these items, give some good insight of everyone's personal taste as well as seeing something we may want to try that we haven't or didn't know was out there. Thanks love:)

  3. Hey, I like your powder! I chose the same Mineral Airbrush powder. I am with you I really like the Physician's Formula line. I haven't tried the glow pearls but I really want to! Looks great! Have you tried their Eye Booster eyeliner? I don't know how much 'boosting' it really does but I love the brush tip on it. A-mazing! I really like their blushes too! Great favorites. Thanks for sharing with us.

    1. I have not tried the eye booster liner, but I will be sure to have a look next time I am at the store. Happy to see we have some similar tastes in items because it makes it more relatable for the other person sharing:)

  6. I have super oily skin and I may need to touch up my t-zone mid day, but over all I have been pleased with it I use this more then any other face product I have. It also just happened that the colour perfectly matches my skin tone. I have strong feelings on blush which you will read in an upcoming post about this one and blush in general, but I do think this is a genius product. I will also post a tip that I feel makes blush so much more wearable.

    1. Glad to see that more and more people are discovering what a great brand Physicians Formula really is especially people such as myself with sensitive skin and dealing with adult acne of sorts. The worse thing people who have sensitive skin can do is putting very fragrant products on and around their face. Thanks for reading Hope. You should pull up picks of the new items they are quite nice.

  8. I really should look into Physicians Formula for their pressed powders as well. I've only ever heard good things about it and seems like you are a huge fan! I really want a powder highlighter so maybe I should check that out first!

    1. I do highly recommend their line, pretty much everything I have tried so far has been really good. I would say they are the drug store comparable to Clinique. They have some amazing new blushes and bronzers coming out for 2014 and the packaging is quite clean and pretty. Hope you give something a try:)
