BEAUTY CROWN AWARDS WEEK 1 PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS

The Beauty Crown Awards are a yearly favorites collaborative effort including beauty bloggers around the globe. The Beauty Crown Awards were created by Lily from Beauty with Lily Liz from My Pretty Obsessions, Jackie from Five Two Certified, and Shalunya from Shalunya & Boyet. We felt that a collaborative effort from a large number of beauty bloggers would be much more interesting to our readers and would garner more attention. The Beauty Crown Awards are a 5 week event with each week covering types of products.

Week 1 - Personal Care Products - Dec 2 - Dec 8, 2013
Week 2 - Facial Products - Dec 9 - Dec 15, 2013
Week 3 - Lip & Nail Products - Dec 16 - Dec 22, 2013
Week 4 - Eye & Misc Products - Dec 23 - Dec 29, 2013
Week 5 - Facial Care Products & Tools - Dec 30 - Jan 4, 2014

Week 1 of the Beauty Crown Awards covers Personal Care Items. Below are my Week 1 Selections:

HAIR

GARNIER FRUCTIS CITRUS MINT WORKS BEST FOR OILY HAIR AND IS THE BEST I HAVE USED SO FAR EVEN COMPARE TO HIGHEND LIKE VICHY AND KLORANE

L'OREAL STUDIO REMIX FIBER PASTE IS EXCELLENT FOR SHORT EDGIER HAIRCUTS THAT REQUIRE HOLD, BUT ARE REWORKABLE, GREAT SMELL AND DOESN'T LEAVE A WHITE CAST ON THE HAIR SHAFT

OSIS+ BLOW & GO IS BEST FOR THICK OR LONG HAIR AND IT REALLY WORKS AND CUTS DOWN ON DAMAGING BLOW DRYING TIME

SCENTS

TOKYOMILK DARK "EXCESS" A TRULY UNIQUE FRAGRANCE EXPERIENCE AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LINE, LASTING SCENT AND I PREFER A COMPANY SUCH AS THIS THAT IS A NICHE MARKET

BATH AND BODY WORKS SPARKLING BLACKBERRY WOODS IS MY FAVOURITE BODY SPRAY BECAUSE ITS A REALLY GOOD KICK OF FRAGRANCE AND ITS SWEET AND REFRESHING AND IT WEARS ALL DAY LONG. ONE OF THE BETTER SCENTS FROM B&B, BUT SADLY I THINK IT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED:(

SKIN CARE (Non-Facial)

VASELINE COCOA BUTTER HAS BECOME MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE GO TO ITEM FOR JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING. IT HELPS DRY FEET, ELBOWS, ROUGH PATCHES, CHAPPED HANDS, APPLY AT PULSE POINTS BEFORE SPRAYING FRAGRANCE AND WILL HOLD SCENT LONGER.

BATH AND BODY WORKS WARM VANILLA SUGAR HAS BEEN IN MY DAILY ROUTINE NOW FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS. I TRY LOTS OF OTHER ITEMS, BUT THIS ALWAYS REMAINS MY TRIED AND TRUE. I DO FIND HOWEVER WITH TIME SOMETHINGS HAVE CHANGED IN THE FORMULATION AND THE SMELL IS STILL WONDERFUL, BUT NOT LIKE BACK IN THE DAY WHEN IT STILL WAS INFUSED WITH BASMATI RICE MILK.

GILLETTE HAS BEEN AROUND NOW FOR ALMOST 113 YEARS I NEED NOT SAY MORE. EXCEPT THIS SHAVE CREAM WORKS WELL IN PREPARING HAIR FOR SHAVING AND LEAVING YOUR SKIN SOFT AND NICELY SCENTED.

I LOVE SO MANY VANILLA SCENTS FROM VARIOUS COMPANIES, BUT THIS COMES TO MIND AS SOON AS THE CHRISTMAS SEASON ARRIVES. THERE IS SOMETHING SO WARM AND PLEASING ABOUT BATH AND BODY WORKS VANILLA BEAN NOEL THAT SETS IT APART FROM OTHER VANILLA PRODUCTS, AND WHO DOESN'T LOVE THE PACKAGING. THIS BOTTLE IS FROM HOLIDAY 2012.

AND THAT CONCLUDES MY SELECTIONS FOR WEEK 1 OF THE BEAUTY CROWN AWARDS.

  8. This was so fun! The beautycrown is really a great idea! Very interesting to see what others use. I see you are also not using hair spray, dry shampoo or bar soap like me! I do never use those. I thought hair spray is something from the 80s lol! And bar soap from 1800? And dry shampoo for lazy people? hahahahahha! That Tokyo milk sounds very intersting to me! Kisses! 1. I knew I forgot something. Ironically I do use bar soap I use the Lever 2000 Pomegranate/Coconut Water one because I am very picky in the shower and I scrub with bar soap first and then wash down with body wash. However I do find hairspray very irritating to my scalp and I don't like the residue, and as for dry shampoo......no comment;)

  9. THese are all great picks love! The Vaseline tub has always been a household staple when I was growing up and I even keep a tub of it in my medicine cabinet =) Why change some things when nothing is wrong right? Hehe. I have the original one not the shea butter one! I will definitely pick that one up next once I run out of the original. Thank you so much for sharing your picks with us love! xoxo
