L.A. GIRL Glazed lip paint has been out now for quite a while, but for some of us here in Canada having access to the product has been a new and refreshing experience. This product has been compared with Too Faced Melted liquid lipsticks, which I do own as well, so I will be able to give you an accurate comparison.
The biggest difference between Glazed lip paint and the Melted lipsticks is obviously the price. L.A. Girl Glazed lip paint is 12ml and $4 or here in Canada $5. The Too Faced Melted lipstick is also 12ml, but is $25.
I find the Glazed lip paint more liquidy and has more shine like a lip gloss, also they have minty scent/taste and nourishes the lips with Vitamin E. The peppermint may be a draw back for some people, but I like it as it makes the mouth feel refreshed. I find darker colours harder to control as the applicator is just an angled tip squeeze tube. I find these are best applied with a lip brush by adding layers one at a time and waiting for each coat to dry. This also provides the best coverage.
Too Faced liquid lipsticks provide a more satin matte finish to the lips and the velvety applicator tip is a lot better as it evenly distributes the product over the lips. Also the consistency of the Melted lipsticks is more creamy. I however do find them a bit drying to MY lips, all though many other people feel they are hydrating enough. Also the scent of Melted lipsticks is more sweet like powdered candy.
One thing I would like to point out is both products are great in their own right, but even though L.A. Girl has great colour payoff, you pay for what you get. Glazed lip paint is manufactured in China where many other questionable ingredients may be added to products, where as Too Faced liquid lipstick is made in Italy where cosmetic manufacturing has much more stringent guide lines. Both products are noted as being cruelty free.
Here are the colours I chose from the L.A. Girl Glazed lip paints

If you are on a budget L.A.Girl Glazed Lip Paint is a great affordable alternative, if you are not in the market to buy Too Faced products which are quite pricey.

These are absolutely stunning and for a whole lot less than the Too Faced. I think these are an excellent option if you are on a budget.
