Good day everyone,
Today on Makeup'Asylum I wanted to share with you some Maybelline items I got over the Christmas holidays on clearance (yes I know a long time to wait to review). I got theses items at a near by Loblaw's store. Everything was so cheap, but a lot was already sold out so that was a bit disappointing. However I still did get a couple of good things.
First I got for $2 a Maybelline color tattoo in the colour 10 FIERCE & TANGY I want to love this colour but I find this particular colour very dry or it just may be old stock, also smells a little like that burnt smell in some fake tan products?!?! It is a beautiful sunset orange that has golden yellow highlights. If I can't use it in every day makeup maybe I will find something clever to use it for a Halloween look next year.
Next up I scored 3 Maybelline single pan eyeshadows for $1 each. I would have liked more, but this was all that was left.
PERFECT PASTELS "50 SEASHELL"
A very pretty delicate ballerina pink perfect for highlighting or all over lid colour
PERFECT PASTELS 120 BLUE BLAZES
I love this colour because its blue, but steel blue with a nice lavender accent to it, which shows more on the swatch. A good colour to use when doing a variation of the smoky eye.
And my favourite MODERN METALLICS 260 COPPER CRAZE
This is highly pigmented and a beautiful deep copper that's rich and warm like tropical Wahiba sand
I am pleased that I was able to walk away with 4 products for $5 what a bargain. I love finding great deep discounts on items like eyeshadow, nail polish and lipstick.

I think Maybelline is the clear top choice for mascara both drugstore and high end. Some of their eyeshadow's can be a little hit and miss and their lipsticks are so nice and creamy and smell lovely. I also loved the Maybelline express clean eye makeup remover, but they stopped carrying it in Canada:( Now I just use extra virgin coconut oil to take off my eye makeup works really well.
DeleteI agree on the Tatoos. Some of mine stay nice and creamy for over a year and I have bought some that I know can;t be old stock because they were limited edition and new and were so dry I couldn't wear them. I tend to see it more with the lighter shades. Well I really like the ballerina pink eye shadow. I am going to check it out. I am looking for one right now. I have one but it's not quite pink enough. DeleteI love the Colour Tattoos, I have a few of the lighter shades and found they were quicker to dry out....shame. Copper Craze looks really intense...I love the look of it.

I agree about the lighter shades, however I have a couple of limited edition shades such as waves of white and it's so creamy compare to this orange. I do find the formula a little inconsistent. I can totally see you wearing Copper Craze and it looking super gorgeous. Thanks for reading :)xo
Deletewow those eye shadows are very pretty and yes that Copper Craze is very beautiful indeed! I can see you definitely making a good Halloween makeup look with that maybelline tattoo as long as it doesn't dry out then hehehe!
