PAUL & JOE BEAUTE SPRING COLLECTION 2014

Last year around this same time i had the opportunity to review a few items from the Paul & Joe Summer cosmetic line which you can read here

This year i have the opportunity again, but this time around it is the Spring collection. The items i will be sharing today are two nailpolishes, lipstick and an eyeshadow trio.

So here are some details about the Spring limited edition nail enamels

Feel the embrace of spring on your fingertips with these limited edition polishes from Paul & Joe Beaute, The vivid floral colors of springtimeare now within reach in 5 gorgeous new shades for the brisk beautiful days ahead. These layerable, luminous colours allow you to mix and match hues of two soft pinks, delicate blue, sunny yellow and vermillion red to mimic the season's best and brightest blooms.

Ingredients
Chamomile extract-moisturizer
Japanese Pearl Oyster- Moisturizing
Jojoba oil- Emollient
Orange Flower Water- Moisturizer
White Lily Extract- Moisturizer, rough skin softner

The shades available are

Lily- a purifying white pink
Hyacinth- a clear blue provides a calming escape
Carnation- A sheer vermillion red that says nothing but love

The two colour's i received are

Petunia- A light touch of peaceful pink

This is a sheer pink liquid base with gold and bronze shimmer with an unusual iridescent shimmer dust in it and square multi-dimensional confetti glitter. It is a very pretty top coat, or as you can see can easily be worn alone just for a touch of sparkle on the nails. Removes very easily which is nice.

Buttercup- A cheerful sun yellow to brighten up your days

At first i was not sure that i liked this colour, but it has grown on me and i especially love the formulation. It applies beautifully with no streaking and has a very interesting texture like that of gel polish. It reminds me of coloured transparencies that are used in photography. I think this will be a wonderful accessory all summer long. What do you think???

The  nail polish is 10ml for $16

Next up is the lipstick

The lipstick CS collection comes in three spring ready shades and have customizeable limited edition cases. I did not receive one for my lipstick, I have to admit I was disappointed as I now have a lipstick that has no case and has to be kept in its box and will probably dry out quicker as a result.

Any way the colour's are

Poppy- A cheerful fresh orange gives you the bouncy step of a beautiful Poppy flower

Peony- An exciting baby pink is perfect for lips that want to make a statement (would have loved this one)

and the one i got is

Rosebud- A sheer red suggests secret passion and ignites the fire of Spring's life
Take a look

All Paul & Joe lipsticks are formulated with the following lip loving benefits

Brown rice germ oil- emollient
Jojoba Oil- emollient
Lavender oil- emollient
Orange flower water- moisturizer
White lily extract- moisturizer, prevents irritation

The colour i received is gorgeous because it can be built up or sheered out, and also has micro fine red glitter that adds beautiful shine to the lips but is not overly noticeable and you don't feel the grit of glitter on the lips at all.

It has a very similar consistency to a tinted lip balm, but with better staying power.

The three lipstick cases are
012- Mint green with a pattern reminiscent of Spring freshness
013- A retro pattern evokes fields of wildflowers just waiting to be explored
014- A bold horse print on a gentle pink background to inspire adventure- Which is the one i would have liked

Lipsticks are 3g and $20 and the lipstick cases are $7

Last up is my favourite item I was sent which is the

Eye colour trio. There are 8 different trio's to be had, as well as 3 limited edition cases and the standard classic case.

The trio's available are

Breakfast in bed- Bright and warm browns to mimic a sunny day

My little kitty/Mon petit chaton- A sweet and sexy trio of browns

Le jardin des fleurs/ Garden of flowers- A playful combo of fresh green, flower pink and a touch of lavender

Tree-shaded walkway- Sophisticated maple colours reminenscent of the changing season

Cherry Blossom- Natural shades of pink, gold and brown blend effortlessly for a chic look

April in Paris- Three romantic shades that are the perfect pastel pairing evocative of Paris in Springtime

Night Cafe- 3 metallic shades create an effortlessly smoky day to night eye

and the trio i was sent is

Stormy Weather- Sultry shades are perfect for the spirited woman looking for a dark & smouldering look.

These are really nice shadows that are very creamy and pigmented and apply with ease. It doesn't take long to blend them out and they are extremely wearable anytime. The taupe colour in the middle really stands out in this trio and i have used it several times since receiving them. Even the black shade is quite different to most with a dusty charcoal feel to it with tiny tiny silver micro glitter.
There is little to no fall out with these shadows which is another plus.

You get 3g at $35 and the cases are $10

The limited edition cases are
A feminine floral pattern that is the same pattern as the packaging you see for the nail polish boxes above.

A fun flirty feline case with a coral polka dot background and the most adorable vintage looking kittens allover it.

Bursts of flowers decorate the last retro case that reminds me of old linens or fabrics to a time long past.

The classic case is actually plastic unlike the ones above that are heavy weight cardboard
The plastic case is pearly white on top and the bottom is pink with a fine gold trim and embossed with a floral pattern on the lid.

Out of them all i would have liked to get the kitten case to house the shadows i was sent.
