THE BALM "BALM VOYAGE" PALETTE

I had posted on Instagram that I finally ventured into buying a palette that cost a bit more then I generally like to spend. The palette I picked is The Balm "Balm Voyage" palette. I love everything about this palette. The colours are beautiful, highly pigmented, you need very little to achieve a gorgeous eye look. They apply and blend out like a dream and the colour offering in this palette is quite a good range.
The Balm offers excellent packaging that's a throwback to an era long gone with that pinup'esque style to it. Also the products that are offered are talc, paraben free and cruelty free.

So moving on this particular palette is suppose to look like the seating plan inside an airplane and hence the name of "Balm Voyage"

I don't have a lot more to say other then "YOU NEED THIS PLATTE IN YOUR LIFE"
So without further ado, here is a photo heavy post that was a labour of love to bring you the best possible examples of what this palette offers. ENJOY:)

This first set is the top row L2R-A4, B4, C4, D4

Next row L2R- A3, B3, C3, D3

3rd row down A2, B2, C2, D2

last row at bottom of palette is A1, B1, C1, D1

There are also 3 lip and cheek stains that are a cream product

L2R- Second Officer, First Officer & Captain

Even the cream products are amazing and have high colour payoff. Even after washing my hand there was a faint stain left on my skin.

I also wanted to point out that I discovered that I have a palette from Rexall that was only $4.99 and actually has some amazingly close dupes for several of the colours offered in the "Balm Voyage" palette. I thought it would be helpful for those not in the market to spend $60

So the shadows in my Rexall palette marked with the star are the 10 colours I could match to the "Balm Voyage" palette.

The colour on my index finger is the Rexall brand and The Balm is on my middle finger

I also found that the "Balm Voyage" palette has some strikingly similar colours to the Kat Von D Esperanza palette. I did an eye look using my palette to recreate Kat's tutorial that was on Sephora's YouTube channel. Have a Look

THAT CONCLUDES MY SUPER IN DEPTH LOOK AT THE "BALM VOYAGE" PALETTE. I HOPE THAT HAS HELPED YOU BETTER DECIDE IF THIS PALETTE IS RIGHT FOR YOU OR NOT.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE PRODUCT FROM THE BALM THAT I SHOULD HAVE IN MY COLLECTION TOO????

THANKS FOR READING AND HAVE A SUPER DAY XO:)

  1. Great in depth review! This palette looks lovely. I think its great that you found dupes for people not willing to spend the money for a Balm Voyage.

    1. I think what makes this a great palette is all the varying shades and that many of them are very wearable for day to day looks, with pops of colour that don't have to be to bright, or can be built up with more intensity if you choose. Thanks for always reading and commenting.

    1. awww thanks Julie. I guess we are, our own worst critique and because I tend to suffer from looking at the smallest detail and picking it to shit, I always feel like the looks I do never quite look how I envision them in my head. Thanks very much for reading and commenting appreciate the support:) xo

  3. I almost bought this when they recently had their 50% off flash sale...ugh, I'm so regretting it! I will definitely pick this up next time they have a sale. I'm loving the blues in the palette!

    1. I am very surprised that this palette isn't already in your collection. You must get it next time they do the flash sale. I know you will love it and enjoy it. Yes that light minty blue I used in the eye look is one of my faves in the palette and I am glad I picked it up. Also I should add each pan of colour you get a lot. Compare to the Balm Jovi or the Nude-tude palette this offers way more for around the same price. Thanks for reading xo:)

    1. Thanks Keisha. Yes I thought this time around I would cover all bases with this particular review. I love it too when you can create a look with a completely separate palette that looks almost identical to more high end one or even one that is comparable in price just a different brand. xo Have a great day
