MORE PHYSICIANS FORMULA 2015 PRODUCTS

Happy Monday all,

Today I have another post on a couple more products from the new 2015 Physicians Formula products. These ones I did purchase myself as my local Shoppers Drug Mart had them on for 40% off.

Lets take a look

CITY GLOW DAILY DEFENSE BRONZER (PARIS)
AVAILABLE IN NEW YORK AS WELL 11G FOR $19.99

The daily defense bronzers were designed with skin protection in mind. This formula is a multi-tasking bronzer that defends against environmental aggressors while giving you the healthy look of a tan.
This advance formula will help neutralize the skin stressing effects of city smog and pollution. The environment can cause havoc to the skin leaving it wrinkled, dull, fatigued and making the skin tone seem uneven.

This bronzer is a weightless bi-colored bronzer that does have a gold over spray to accentuate the picture of either the Paris or New York sky line. There is a gentle shimmer throughout this bronzer that will only make the skin seem to glow, not look like a light bulb.

I am not sure if one bronzer is darker then the other because they are only named New York & Paris, but I do imagine there is a mild difference. I do find Paris to be fairly warm when applied to the skin.

Also the packaging on this particular product is very sleek and looks very high-end. It has the black rubberized feel to it like the Nars products. I would love to see Physicians Formula do more packaging similar to this.

SHIMMER STRIPS EXTREME SHIMMER PALETTE (NUDE)
ALSO AVAILABLE  IN SMOKY 3.4G $15.99

The new shimmer strips extreme shimmer palette is just that very very shimmery. I have mixed emotions about this product because it is super beautiful and the colours are quite pigmented especially the darker shades. However I am not sure its practical for my everyday use. What I do really like is that even though they are quite shimmery the texture of the shadows is really lovely and do apply nicely.

Applied directly to skin

Applied over eyeshadow primer

This is the type of shadow you want to pack on and less dragging the brush.

The extreme shimmer strip can be used wet or dry depending how intense you want your look to be. It claims to last for 24hrs, but I can't back the claim as I never need to wear makeup that long. When I did wear it the other day it did stay in place for the 4 hours it was on my eyes. You will have some fall out naturally because this is a very shimmery product.

Both products are
-Hypoallergenic
-Fragrance free
-Paraben free
-Gluten Free
-oil free
-non-comedogenic
-dermatologist approved
*shimmer strips is safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

If you have a lot of eye shadow in your collection then I think the shimmer strip is not a must buy, but if your looking for big time shadow drama then this is an excellent choice. However everyone can use a good bronzer and this is a nice product with several face saving benefits so I do recommend this one and its so nice to look at.

THANKS TO ALL WHO STOP BY FOR A READ AND HAVE A GREAT DAY
HAPPY FAMILY DAY :)

NEW MUFE- MAKE UP FOR EVER ARTIST SHADOW

Welcome back all,

I hope everyone is enjoying the fall season so far, and with that make up lover's all over rejoice as many new collections land in stores and many drugstore shelves get their relines.

I am happy to bring to you today my thoughts on the new Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows. Two lovely colour's were sent to me for review purpose and I am forever grateful to still be occasionally reviewing for Make Up For Ever two years after I connected with them.

So let's get this on shall we!

In celebration of Make Up For Ever's 30th anniversary comes the powerful show stopping launch of the ultimate 210 highly pigmented eye shadows. If you love innovative products with effortless blendability and captivating colour pay off then keep reading.

Creative director Dany Sanz may have taken a full three years to bring this collection to life, but for make up artists, guru's, and novice it's definitely been worth the wait. The shadows have a breakthrough technology know as PIGMENT ATOMIZATION which put in simple terms means you will be getting the highest pigmentation on the market , maximizing colour by 88%. Water-blend technology is what creates this superior blendable product making application easier and cuts back on how long you have to blend.

Within this gorgeous range the numbering system is simple, based on finish and colour family within the colour wheel. You can expect to find matte, satin, iridescent and diamond finishes.
The best part is the shadows are completely customizable with options to purchase singles, duo's or a trio. What ever best fits your needs at a moments notice.

Lets take a closer look at the performance of these shadows, the two colours that were sent out to me are both from the blue family one is an Iridescent and the other Satin.

L2R- I-210 Light Turquoise (Iridescent)
S-226 Abyssal Blue (Satin)

The light turquoise has such a beautiful finish, which you will see in a moment. It is a beautiful icy tone that will work nicely on the center of the lid or you can even take it up a notch and do a one colour eye look and wing out that liner.

NO PRIMER WOW

Now believe me I think this shade is lovely, but my heart is in it for this Abyssal Blue. As soon as I swatched this beauty it made me that much more excited for fall. This is leaning indigo and is like that perfectly dyed pair of denim jeans, check it out!

Top swatch is no primer and this pic is with primer

I have to admit I was very excited to do an eye look to add to this post, but sadly I have been to darn sick, that is my only big complaint for this time of year is all the flu and sickies walking around hacking and sneezing on everything. Any way the texture of these shadows is phenomenal like "BUTTAH baby"

I find especially with blues they tend to be the most rich eyeshadows in collections and offer some of the best colour payoff. I love playing these shades of blue off my brown eyes because they compliment each other so seamlessly like water & earth.

Here is a swatch of the two colours blended together
These eyeshadow's are some of the easiest I have worked with in terms of blending, colour payoff and little to no fall out and believe me I got'alotta shadows;)

Lastly I also wanted to show case these shadows on paper to show you the varying finishes. Also how amazing these work on paper should you be working on a face chart and want to give them a go. These truly are an artist dream in every sense.

Another small thing I wanted to mention is the individual compacts have a nice substantial feel that is weighty in your hand, makes for a more luxe feel which I think in some areas can be a huge selling point. Simple but elegant design overall.

I being a person that not only loves makeup, but also art too was thrilled with the concept of this new eye shadow collection from Make Up For Ever and hope you will love it and give them a try.

You can try one for $25 a duo for $39 or a trio for $50

Available now at Sephora stores and online as well as MAKE UP FOR EVER boutiques

HAVE YOU TRIED THE NEW ARTIST SHADOWS YET??? LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR FEED BACK.

HOPE YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL, HAVE A GREAT DAY/NIGHT TO ALL
AND AS ALWAYS THANKS FOR READING

SAUCEBOX PRO PALETTES

One day as I was shopping one of my favourite websites and I happened upon these visually intriguing palettes by a company called "SAUCEBOX" to this point I had no clue who they were and had heard very little about them as a whole.

So who are SAUCEBOX, here is the "About Us" from their website.

"SauceBox takes its beginning in 2010.  Founded by mother and daughter (both make up addicts). The name takes its roots in Old English, and means rude and impudent, obnoxious. We believe that make up is all about attitude and your inner self expression.  The goal was to create  high quality line with out high price – SUCCESS! The line combines two worlds of ‘ OLD AND PROVEN” with ” NEW AND EXCITING”. SauceBox cosmetics believes that every one is beautiful, and every beauty needs to shine. We provide extensive collection of eyeshadow for every taste, look, day, night, outfit…etc.  We are constantly looking for ways to innovate our product and add new items to our collection."
So there you have it and lets get into the two palettes I picked up from SauceBox who I just know are gaining more and more popularity daily and it will be interesting to see how their line expands with time

FORBIDDEN FRUITS
EACH EYESHADOW IS 4g FOR A TOTAL OF 24g

In this palette you get two shimmers, two glitters and two mattes, so its a great assortment for a only being 6 colours.Every colour is super bright and pigmented. Even the shadows with glitter the shadow it self is nice and soft and they all blend out beautifully.
I like that you can do bold bright looks, as well as a nice plumy variation on the smokey eye with this palette.

CREME DE LA CREME

So this particular palette does not have any names on the back, but I imagine this is changing as SauceBox is suppose to bring out revamped packing. So I will just be posting the pics for your makeup loving consumption.

 Black with and without flash

The black I did two shots to show case truly how dark it is like ink, but then in direct light to show the glitter particles in it as well.

I am so in love with this palette. I can't get enough of the beautiful depth of the colours and how rich and pigmented each and everyone is without falling short any where. This to me is a perfect palette because you get that super saturated black, and nice metallic colours and a couple of neutrals, which you can do endless looks with and is a dream to use. If you want an excellent versatile product and don't want to have to much in your collection make sure this is the one you get.

Each palette on the SauceBox website is $40, I paid $46 Cad for each for mine, but discovered shortly after my purchase that the price has gone up significantly which is very shocking. The palettes are now $65 YIKES that's quite the hike, glad I got mine when I did.

Any way I still do feel these are a worth while investment for any true makeup lover novice to aficionado.

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS CLOSER LOOK AT SAUCEBOX EYE SHADOWS AND DON'T DELAY GET SOME SOON. THERE IS ALSO THEIR NEWEST PALETTE ETUDE WHICH OFFERS UP 8 COLOURS INSTEAD OF 6 AND ITS ALL MATTE NEUTRALS, THIS PALETTE HAS BEEN SELLING OUT IN LITTLE TIME AS SOON AS THEY RESTOCK AND IS FINALLY BACK IN STOCK NOW, SO GET IT WHILE YOU CAN.

THANKS FOR READING AND HAVE AN AWESOME DAY:) XO

THE BALM "BALM VOYAGE" PALETTE

I had posted on Instagram that I finally ventured into buying a palette that cost a bit more then I generally like to spend. The palette I picked is The Balm "Balm Voyage" palette. I love everything about this palette. The colours are beautiful, highly pigmented, you need very little to achieve a gorgeous eye look. They apply and blend out like a dream and the colour offering in this palette is quite a good range.
The Balm offers excellent packaging that's a throwback to an era long gone with that pinup'esque style to it. Also the products that are offered are talc, paraben free and cruelty free.

So moving on this particular palette is suppose to look like the seating plan inside an airplane and hence the name of "Balm Voyage"

I don't have a lot more to say other then "YOU NEED THIS PLATTE IN YOUR LIFE"
So without further ado, here is a photo heavy post that was a labour of love to bring you the best possible examples of what this palette offers. ENJOY:)

This first set is the top row L2R-A4, B4, C4, D4

Next row L2R- A3, B3, C3, D3

3rd row down A2, B2, C2, D2

last row at bottom of palette is A1, B1, C1, D1

There are also 3 lip and cheek stains that are a cream product

L2R- Second Officer, First Officer & Captain

Even the cream products are amazing and have high colour payoff. Even after washing my hand there was a faint stain left on my skin.

I also wanted to point out that I discovered that I have a palette from Rexall that was only $4.99 and actually has some amazingly close dupes for several of the colours offered in the "Balm Voyage" palette. I thought it would be helpful for those not in the market to spend $60

So the shadows in my Rexall palette marked with the star are the 10 colours I could match to the "Balm Voyage" palette.

The colour on my index finger is the Rexall brand and The Balm is on my middle finger

I also found that the "Balm Voyage" palette has some strikingly similar colours to the Kat Von D Esperanza palette. I did an eye look using my palette to recreate Kat's tutorial that was on Sephora's YouTube channel. Have a Look

THAT CONCLUDES MY SUPER IN DEPTH LOOK AT THE "BALM VOYAGE" PALETTE. I HOPE THAT HAS HELPED YOU BETTER DECIDE IF THIS PALETTE IS RIGHT FOR YOU OR NOT.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE PRODUCT FROM THE BALM THAT I SHOULD HAVE IN MY COLLECTION TOO????

THANKS FOR READING AND HAVE A SUPER DAY XO:)
