NEW MAKE UP FOR EVER AQUA MATIC EYESHADOW

Hi everyone                                                                                               Sent for review by PR

Today I would like to share with you my thoughts on a new product to the Make Up For Ever Aqua family of products. This is the Aqua Matic waterproof glide-on eyeshadow. I picked the colour I-30 Iridescent Lime Green because I felt this would be a fun pop of colour for summer time looks, that and I love lime green.

Moving on here are the details on the product

Aqua Matic was created to be used by makeup artists on women working in extreme environments that with stand the performance in such environments and for long wear everyday use.
This eye shadow offers high intensity colour, along with a lightweight, crease proof formulation. Making this ideal for those working under hot lights or even out in the sunlight.

Aqua Matic is creamy upon application, and can be blended out for a more gentle finish. However you do want to work quickly because once it sets on the skin it doesn't budge. The formulation of this shadow is created with silica, oils and polymers that creates a flexible film that will guarantee it locks the water out, so it will not smudge.

I did wear this in the shower (for testing purposes) over a primer and I found it stayed in place. I wore it for a full 8 hours and it had minimal creasing on me personally. I have heard mixed reviews regarding it creasing and I feel that will differ depending on level of activity and the type of eyelids you have  (i.e. Oily, normal, dry, etc) I find a good primer really helps for my oily lids.

The Aqua Matic range has 10 shades varying from neutral to vibrant with several finishes such as satin, metallic, diamond and iridescent. It is a retractable pencil which is great to throw in your makeup bag for on the go, for a day at the beach or a weekend at the cottage if you like sporting makeup in nature.

You can do an eyeliner look with this pencil on the upper or lower lash line or both. You can also do the entire lid with one or three colours if you like. Also if you realize you forgot your eyeshadow blending brush no worries just apply and blend with clean finger tips, it's that easy.

This new collection of Aqua Matic pencils are $25 each and are 1.4g of product. You can find them at Sephora.ca and Sephora stores as well as MAKE UP FOR EVER boutiques. I do see they are already available on Sephora's website now, however my press release says July'14 which may be in stores.

SIDE NOTE
The only item in my collection that is some what similar but is not waterproof is my Cover Girl flamed out pencil 315 in Lime Green Flame, which is a deeper green with more shimmer particles, definitely not a dupe, but leaning in the same direction for a bold pop of colour in the green family.

I hope you all found this post helpful in deciding if Make Up For Ever's new Aqua Matic shadow pencils are for you. Let me know in the comments if you have tried one yet???

    1. Keep in mind the water was running over my head and down my face, but I wasn't touching my face at all during this particular shower. Just wanted to know if it would hold up if I get caught in a heavy rain storm lol;) thanks for reading :)

  2. Amazing that it held up through your shower, and I like that it lasts through the day with minimal creasing. This shade is gorgeous and so pigmented, I would love to get my hands on it.

    1. This is such a fun colour and I am very surprised because Temptalia gave it an F, I don't agree with that grading at all based on her review of this particular colour. Thanks for reading Keisha xo
