MAKE UP FOR EVER MIST & FIX (RE-LAUNCH)

Hope everyone is well today,                                                                                          PR SAMPLE

I bring you a re-launch from MAKE UP FOR EVER, and I am excited about this. It is the cult favourite MIST & FIX setting spray.

I for one have tried a few different setting sprays over the past couple of years and nothing seems to work for me, hence why I never reviewed any of them. The few I tried weren't worth mentioning, that said I am hopeful with Mist & Fix.

If you are newer to the game of setting sprays this might just be the product to start with. Why you ask? Well there is several reasons, check them out below.

Mist & Fix benefits

-Contains an O2 skin complex that offers oxygenation to the skin
-Skin appears more radiant, without a shiny finish (which I hate! my skin is shiny enough)
-New and improved formula
-Moisturizing with polyol a molecule known for moisture benefits
-Alcohol free formulation
-dermatologist tested, suitable for all skin types even those with sensitive skin
-Colorless (no dyes)
-Provides invisible shield against environmental stress (i.e. Pollution, extreme temperature change) hence why I need this NOW it has been so cold to the point my face hurts when I have been outside.

Mist & Fix offers a non-sticky acrylic copolymer ingredient that not only shields the skin, but can hold up to sweating and won't rub off. Did I mention it's lightweight so you won't even detect it's there.

WHAT DO I LIKE ABOUT MIST & FIX?

I had the perfect opportunity to test out the Mist & Fix as I had a very busy week-end. Saturday we went and spent the majority of the day shopping for furniture at Ikea, had lunch and I did some side shopping for skin care. Sunday we did a deep clean, reorganization of our home to accommodate our new furniture. That being said I really put Mist & Fix to the test. On Saturday I did have a full face of makeup, lips, eyeshadow, blush, highlight, etc. Overall my makeup held up well but by the time we came home which was 10 hours later I could see mild break down. I was sweating in the store and then my face was exposed to the cold air on the way home, so that was a bad combo. As for Sunday I wore foundation, powder, lip balm and mascara and followed up with the Mist & Fix. We spent the day cleaning, building furniture, I cooked dinner and did some vacuuming. Mist & Fix really did a great job holding everything together right till I took everything off. I find the sprayer isn't quite as fine mist as I would like, but the key is to hold it further away. In the end what really matters is that it does the job. There is a mild scent to this setting spray and I was a little worried even though it says its ok for sensitive skin, but I have used it 3 days in a row now and have not had an irritation, so that's good news. Overall I give Mist & Fix 8/10. I think a full size bottle will last quite a long time especially if you don't use it every single day, which in turn it pays for itself. If your curious about this setting spray just purchase the 30ml which will be a good starting point before you commit to the full size.

UPDATE- Today was day 5 of using Mist & Fix and I love it. With my lifestyle it holds up to the daily rigors of my routine. I am glad I found a setting spray that really does work for me

Another important factor when choosing a setting spray is will it keep your makeup vibrant and also prevent it from fading? Mist & Fix will.
There is nothing worse then using a product that makes promises to be helpful and good for your skin, but then the company misses one crucial element, it somehow changes the way your makeup reacts on your skin and that my friends is not "pretty".

PRO-TIP- Hold the spray at least arms length away from face and spray for a few seconds. You can let air dry or blot with tissue if your in a hurry.

You can find Mist & Fix at Sephora, Sephora.ca and MAKE UP FOR EVER Boutiques

Available in two convenient sizes 125ml $34 & 30ml $14 perfect size for a makeup bag or purse and don't forget if your a pro you will want to have a couple of large bottles in your kit, so you always have it on hand for important clients.

    1. I have used it every day for over a week now and I would definitely repurchase it. Yes after a really long day I still get some shine, but I have always had issue no matter what I use. Thanks Keisha for reading and hope your having a good weekend
