VICHY OIL CONTROL SHAMPOO

I decided to try another brand of oil control shampoo this time instead of repurchasing the Klorane nettle shampoo. However I don't know that this was a good option.

Vichy has brought out DERCOS TECHNIQUE oil control shampoo

On the box these are it's claims

To me personally I don't feel this has helped me at all and I feel in my particular case this was a waste of money. I think I would have been better off sticking to the Klorane brand as nearing the end of that bottle I was starting to notice an overall difference. I am not seeing this sadly with Vichy's product or its claims.

The shampoo it self is a completely clear liquid that has a mild clean fresh scent similar to that of the Normaderm line, if any of you have tried it.

So in closing I purchased this at my local Shoppers Drug Mart, it comes in a 200ml, is paraben free and was on sale for $13.97. I think the regular price is about $16.

I will finish this bottle but will not repurchase this product again.

Let me know in the comments if you have tried this shampoo, and if it worked for you or not????

VICHY PURETE THERMALE 3IN1 CALMING CLEANSING SOLUTION AND AQUALIA THERMAL 24HR HYDRATE

Hi everyone,

Today we are taking a look at two Vichy products which are aimed for at sensitive skin

The first item is the PURETE THERMALE 3IN1 CALMING CLEANSING MICELLAR SOLUTION

This cleansing solution feels like plain water across your skin, but I do feel an every so slight tingle to my skin where it may be helping problem areas. This product has absolutely NO fragrance or smell, it seems very clinical.

This product works very well at getting trace amounts of impurities and left over makeup off the skin. There are times I have washed my face and even after I use a cotton pad and some of this and see more product coming off my skin that face washing missed.
This product is suitable for ALL skin types, but I highly recommend it for those with very sensitive skin, because it will not aggravate your skin an further.

This product is available in a 200ml and 400ml bottle, please check with a retailer near you for pricing which may run between $17-25

I also tried the AQUALIA THERMAL 24HR HYDRATE

This is a very rich emollient cream that claims to be fortifying and soothing for 24hr. It also is paraben free, allergy tested and hypoallergenic.
Here I am again though complaining about the fact that this particular product has fragrance in it. So even if everything else meets the standard for sensitive skin, that one thing can throw it all out the window. It does do a good job moisturizing the skin, but it seems a bit to rich for me personally.

So I think if you have skin that is not sensitive to fragrance additives and your skin tends to be more dry then this product might work for you.
I would NOT recommend this for ACNE prone skin.

You will get a 50ml glass jar for about $40

If you see a product here that you want to try you can find a large selection of VICHY products at your local SHOPPERS DRUG MART in Canada
or if your in the U.S check at your nearest
ULTA store.

VICHY AQUALIA THERMAL NIGHT SPA

So I was given another Vichy sample pack of the Aqualia Therma night spa.

This is the 1st spa sleeping mask for at home use. This is a very well appreciated beauty regime in Asia, but is now becoming more noticeable in areas such as Canada.

So according to the in formation I received on this product, it claims to deeply replenish, skin looks visibly rested, plumped & radiant.

So what your suppose to do is apply an ample amount all over the face except eye area, then allow to sit on the skin for a good 15 minutes. Then gently massage any excess in to the skin. Follow up by leaving it on while you sleep, it will not leave anything on your pillowcase.

So I did use this mask and my thoughts are as follows. I can see why people enjoy this, but this product is not for me personally. This is a very rich hydrating type mask and someone like myself who is naturally quite oily does not need anymore hydration to my skin other then drinking lots of water.
I do see how someone with very dry parched skin would benefit from this extremely emollient mask. Also for me I found I had a couple of pimples in the morning after using this so for me I give this product a thumbs down for oily skinned individuals.

It does state that it is for sensitive skin, is paraben free and of course has the Vichy thermal water in it. I do hope those with dry, tired skin will give this a try because it truly is like a tall drink for the face.

Let me know if you have dry skin and have seen results using this Aqualia Thermal Night Spa
Comments are always welcome on MakeUp'Asylum

till then stay hydrated and..........

VICHY NORMADERM TRI-ACTIV MASK

So I received a sample size packet of the Vichy Normaderm tri-active mask and thought I would give it a go. The sample pack was large enough to do two separate applications which I spaced out over a three day period.

The whole purpose of this mask is to purify, exfoliate and mattify the skin. This product is suitable for sensitive skin and is paraben, soap and alcohol free. Most of Vichy products are created with a mineral rich thermal water, which helps bring a natural balance back to the skin.

Upon first application I did notice a tingling sensation which I love, it makes me feel it's really doing something like hammering the dirt and impurities out of my pores. It has a nice clean fresh scent, but products intended for sensitive or acne prone skin should never actually have fragrance as this can be counterintuitive. There are also micro exfoliating beads to take off dead skin cells and help replenish the skin that has become dull.

So you basically apply the mask all over, avoiding the eye area and leave on for about 5-10 minutes. Rinse with cool water

I know! sexy right??? NOT;p

You will notice as the mask dries it kind of hardens, but comes off easily when ready to rinse. My face after immediately felt tighter and very clean. Also by the next morning a blemish I had near my eyebrow had shrunk significantly and seemed to be on the mend.
I then did the second application a couple of days later and noticed that my skin was looking better and seeming less stressed as it had been quite irritated as of late. This mask is what my face was needing to get it back in line. I actually was disappointed that I did not have anymore. I have a coupon for this product so I think I may buy the full size in the near future.

The price of the Tri-Activ mask I believe is between $22-25 and comes in 125ml tube

Check with a retailer near you that carries Vichy products especially SHOPPERS DRUG MART
they have a huge selection of Vichy and prices will vary depending on the product you choose.

Hope you enjoyed this review and look out for more coming soon from MakeUp'Asylum
