Here in Canada it is Good Friday tomorrow. That being said I am doing a short review today and won't be around for the long week-end so new posts will be available next week.
For today's review I will try to keep it short and sweet.
Lets take a look at two palettes from Wet n Wild called their Coloricon collections each palette comes with 8 colours and there are 3 different palettes to choose from. The palette I did not buy was 737 BLUE HAD ME AT HELLO.
Palette one is purples and pinks and is 736 PETAL PUSHER one thing I notice with a lot of drug store or big box store eyeshadows is that purples are very difficult to get a good pull of pigment unless you pile it on and you will see the difference between this palette and the neutrals. I do like this palette but not enough to use it a lot. I do like the brow bone highlight that's a darker pink and one of the sparkle crease colours, but the other colours I can live without.
Top right corner brow bone pink and third down on right are the two colours I like most in this palette
As you can see by the swatches only the darkest colours have what I consider to be a good colour payoff. The two colours I mentioned above are the very shimmery pink and fourth colour in from left. Don't mistake there is a super light pink at the very left end there, if you don't look closely you will miss it.
Then we move to the 738 COMFORT ZONE palette which I really enjoy neutral tones so this palette I do reach for often and quite frankly the pigmentation is way better. I like all eight colours and the darkest colour I probably would save for a night look. everything else is very every day, day time use able.
Most of the products I review I purchase at my local Walmart and I always seem to find something new and fun to try. These palettes have been out for a while now, but I thought I would post my thoughts on them anyway. They are 0.3oz/8.5g these will last a good amount of time especially if you flip flop back and forth between various palettes as I do. They are very affordable at 5 dollars each.
You can also view the blue palette and a range of other goodies at the Wet n Wild website www.wnwbeauty.com
From my makeup vanity to yours I wish each and everyone of you that celebrate the occasion a very HAPPY EASTER, for the rest of those who don't just enjoy the time off to catch up on rest and spending time with family and friends. CHEERS
Even the Easter bunny can't live without colour, so remember STAY BEAUTIFUL;)
