Hi everyone, hope all of you enjoyed the Easter long week-end.
Here we are mid week yet again the time is flying. Some days I feel like I am in the 1993 movie "Groundhog Day" if you haven't seen this film it is a must watch for fans of Bill Murray
Here you get a good look at the actual colour in tube

So moving right a long today is about a few Maybelline products some I love and some I sadly love to hate. So lets get into it....
The first item I have to share is a single pan eye shadow that I have had for quite some time. I am not entirely sure you can get this colour, maybe there is one comparable still available. The colour is called GREENE ST. it is a expert wear eyeshadow and has been one of my favorite greens of all time. It has a slight shimmer its a darker green and the staying power is excellent and you can make it darker still by applying it wet. I have had no problems with it creasing and I will be disappointed once it runs out. .09oz/2.6g it was about $3 at the time that I bought it. Even when you may not be able to get a product anymore its still fun to share these items with you all and everything comes around again and sure enough green is one of the hotter colours again this year.
Even though the picture is a bit light this green is one of the MOST pigmented colours I have owned and I have owned a lot of goodies over the years. If you see anything similar in the Maybelline line or another brand do share your comments and tell me what you think of this gorgeous green.
Following behind now is one of my favorite new products by Maybelline it is none other then the ROCKET VOLUM'EXPRESS MASCARA I find this to be a excellent mascara for defining your lashes and giving them volume. Some people may argue that it doesn't build a lot of length but I am overall satisfied with the results of this mascara all around and I use it every day. I am not a huge fan of owning tons of mascara if I find one I really like I usually stick with it for a long time (if it ain't broke then don't try to fix it) as I see it. The only other mascara I own that I will sometimes layer with the Rocket is Rimmel volume flash scandal eyes waterproof mascara which is a decent product as well but by far not a fave.
So the Maybelline Rocket I purchased is in the blackest black and is a standard size mascara and I purchased on sale for $5. I highly recommend this item as I think you will love it too.
As you can see with the white back drop this is a very saturated black. When silicone wands first emerged on the market I was truly not a fan, but with some tweaking and design changes I really do love this particular brush it really combs through each and every lash even the smallest ones near the outer eye.
Now to some seriously lip poppin colour. If you are daring and love big bold colour then this is for you. I know this has been mentioned many times I am sure already but I just love the new line of Maybelline lipsticks called VIVIDS these are super rich, smooth, highly pigmented colours that will leave your lips feeling soft with a huge hit of colour. I love the packaging for this lipstick with the bright translucent orange cap that is definitely an eye catcher when roaming the makeup shelves.
My pick was 860 PINK POP. I would say this is a close dupe for Mac's "Candy Yum Yum" so if you can't drop 18 dollars for a lipstick give this a try for 8 dollars. Also you will love the smell of these lipsticks you will have no problem wearing it all day. Overall I have worn this lipstick for several hours before having to reapply.
So don't delay go grab yourself a tube of happy today
Another satisfied customer;)
Then we will take it down a big notch to the other end of the colour spectrum and take a look at Maybelline's new colour Whisper in the shade 10 BARE TO BE BOLD these gel colours are extremely sheer and just leave a faint wash of colour over the lip and of course I opted for one of the nude shades. This is the type of colour I like just to throw on everyday and its goes with everything. The reality is I am not going to wear a colour like Pink Pop to go do a load of laundry. I do like how moisturizing feeling on my lips but they don't have optimal staying power and that's something Maybelline will have to work out in good time.
I purchased this for 7 dollars and I have to admit I feel its a lot for something that doesn't offer a great deal of colour and not much product but I also understand your paying for the science behind the product as well. I really like the colour I picked and would buy it again if they are on sale or were gifted to me.
I can tell you all I want about any product I mention but only you will know for sure if you try it because everyone is different and we all love and hate various things.

Notice the very faint gloss swatch on my thumb yup that's the colour.
Now here it comes the moment I have been dreading where I am going to have to bash a product that is seemingly loved by so many, but not me. That is none other than.......ok wait for it......
"BABY LIPS"
Yup I said it.....NOT A FAN.
The hype and anticipation of this product has been absolutely crazy and I admit I fell into the marketing pot hole as well. I heard so many things from Bloggers and YouTubers and yes I did eventually dash out the door to get mine as well. You bet I did 6 tubes of it. They happened to be on sale for $3 that day so I bought that many ***BIG MISTAKE***
Is the packaging super cute? YES
Is the products pleasing to the senses like sight and smell? YES
Is it just a glorified lip balm with no real benefits? ABSOLUTELY YES
This is a lip balm that seems to read the message that you the buyer will get baby lips from it but know that is not the case at least not for me. I find this is a gimmicky product. Here is the real reality of baby lips. You apply it it smells great, taste good, you get a ton of product in the tube, BUT... your going to need it. Some how it destroys your lips natural ability to moisturize and I find them drier then before I applied this product. So hence why you continue to reach for it over and over and over again because now your lips are depending on this synthetic moisture to make up for all they have lost applying this product in the first place. In actuality if I had not unpacked all of them I would have taken at least 5 back aside from the one opened to try. Not satisfied at all.
Just beware before you fall for the "OH SO PRETTY APPLE" as I like to say.
From left Pink Punch, Coral Crush, Peach Kiss, Cherry Me, Pink Wink, Quenched
Well baby lips its been a love hate relationship and I am putting you to rest.
I'm not going to sit hear and tell my readers a whole bunch of things about a product that are a false truth. I have to be open and honest about the products I review and that's why I am doing this in the first place because I always read before I buy and hope that others will do the same to.
Last but not least for the day is none other then a nail polish. I purchased one of the Color Show polishes just to see if I like it, lesson learnt from above product. It was on sale for 2.50 the colour I picked was 320 GREEN WITH ENVY it is a very light mint green colour perfect for spring and Easter. It gives a nice finish and the coverage is good. However I do feel that the nail polish industry is extremely competitive these days and there are so many brands that offer full size bottles 10-15ml for even cheaper still. I love a good bargain and again yes this was on sale but the bottles are only 7ml which is significantly less then a lot of others. There are quite a few colour options and I think the regular price is around $4. If you are new to nail polish this might be a good option for you as there is a nice range without being overwhelming and because they are smaller you won't feel so bad if you don't love the colour for long.
To close this post for the day I would also like to introduce my new BITCHIN'BEAUTY mascot
BITCHY MISS'60
You will see this lovely doll around the blog spot helping to show products from time to time.
Let me know if you think this is a cute idea and leave any comments regarding any of my previous or current posts.
Bitchy Miss'60 is taking the baby lips to the trash can, but she has decided to claim my Colour Whisper and nail polish for herself.....
Till next time STAY BEAUTIFUL XO
