TGIF everyone
Today is going to be an update of some of the products I have mentioned over the past weeks just to give you some insight as to what is working, not working or just not making any difference.
Also I have a couple of new items to show today and oddly the theme of blue seems to be the case with these goodies.
Lets start with the updates
I wanted to start by saying that the one thing I have noticed with both bb creams I have been using regardless if its the Missha or Holika Holika "all that" they both eventually look cakey on my skin and that could be because I do have very oily skin. The fact is that bb cream is pretty heavy on the face. The only way I see myself continuing to use either of these products is to use it only for covering red spots and not all over my face and then follow up with a powder, other wise I would not recommend either of these products to people with oily skin. I find I use the Holika baby bloom powder very sparingly as it is pricey and I want to make it last , but it is still a good product. The Soda pore cleanser is also still being used daily here because I just love that really clean feeling it leaves once you've washed all the makeup off. I find I still have to wipe my eye makeup off with Vaseline which literally has been a staple in my routine for close to twenty years now.
Also I did try the paper face masks from Holika and regardless of the brand I honestly don't understand why people love these so much I found after a few minutes it felt like my face was burning and then to follow up I did not see a difference what so ever, so to me what is the point??? I have never really been a fan of mask treatments to begin with so I am glad I got those for free.
The face shop products which was the hand cream and the face mask are merely just cute items for your vanity. I find the hand cream only feels good when first applied but really doesn't last long and for the amount and what you pay its really not worth it unless you just can't resist the container like me. As I also said I will use the container again to fill with other product that I favor more. The face mask called Magic Pink Powder is just MEH! it hasn't made any real significant improvements to my skin and again for the quantity and price your really paying more for the cute packaging then any real benefits that the product has to offer. Probably won't buy either of these items again.
I did however really like two of the samples I was given from Face Shop and do plan to buy the full size products which are the "WHITE SECRET" bright capsule body wash I found it had a rich lather and a lovely citrus fragrance to it that was very light. However I have to be sure I really want it as it is 300ml and 17.50 Canadian. The other sample was the "RICE WATER" bright cleansing foam it had a nice lather as well, removed my makeup well and had the most gentle beautiful clean smell that I can even describe. That comes in I think a 160ml tube for around $12 which is not bad at all.
Moving along some of my favorite products I purchased recently were the NYX loose eye shadows. They are amazing and so shimmery, pigmented and beautiful. The also last for hours with out fading or creasing. The lipsticks are outstanding very little touch up needed and the colour variety is awesome. The sparkle girls nail polish with pink stars is very cute but I don't reach for it much as its difficult to get off and I don't have time for that. May use occasionally as an overlay with other polishes.
My eye make up I use most often would have to be my Maybelline rocket mascara, the hard candy top ten palettes and my NXY lipsticks and when not in the mood for lipstick I reach for my NYC Big Bold lip gloss which I love for everyday wear because its smooth and not sticky and great when your in a hurry. I also have been using a larger palette that is similar to Coastal Scents and BH cosmetics but does not carry a name which is a little scary but my eyes haven't fallen out yet so I imagine it must be ok. I will eventually do a review on it but I would like to play around with it a bit more before I give an opinion. I have really been enjoying using my Wet N Wild 8 in 1 palettes as well.
Out of any of the nail polish I have bought recently I still really love my NYC Lexington Lilac but I have to admit those new Pure Ice are running a close second as I am loving the multitude of colours that are offered in this line. For price NYC is still cheaper at a super low 1.27 and the Pure Ice 1.99, but both equally great products.
So that kind of rounds out my update I know I have reviewed other items as well but I don't want to run this to much longer. If you have any questions about any products I have mentioned don't hesitate to leave me a comment.
I can't sit here and say that I use each and every thing I have religiously alternating amongst them daily. I do try my best but we all have our favorites that you gravitate to more often then others. I may not have as much as I see some people share on you tube, but I also don't want that much either. I will only buy what I know that I can reasonable use before the items need to be thrown out. I am not a freelance make up artist this is just a collection of items that I have and enjoy using and I will continue to add to it but not as often as others.
Each and everyone of us will have a different sized collection and separate views and opinions about the products we try but in the grander scheme that's what makes this fun is seeing others views when it differs from your own and seeing everyone's collection and what people feel is important to have in those collections.
So for today the only new items I have to show you is another top ten palette by Hard Candy to add to my existing ones which is called "Feelin Blue" and I actually really like this palette of blues and find myself using it quite frequently since buying it. Hard Candy did a really nice job on this particular palette along with the Green with Envy and Naturally Gorgeous. The pinking of you palette was not a big hit with me except to use for highlighting.

Now on to my last two items of the day can you guess???? more nail polishes from the Pure Ice line.
Today I purchased a rich true blue colour called "FRENCH KISS" its just perfect to match up with those stand out blue eye shadow's so how could I resist.
and the second colour is called "OVER YOU" which is a sparkle polish that the base is clear gel, fine lavender sparkle with a thick large blue aqua sparkle lacing through it. The reason I got this is because I really thought it was a neat contrast and will look good over other polishes. Again I am sure it is a polish I will have to be patient with when trying to remove it.
Well everyone that's it for today and remember to keep checking back often.
I can't do a review everyday because that's just putting my wallet into cardiac arrest, but I assure you more reviews are on the way.
In the near future I will be doing reviews on more Holika Holika items, Pure Ice nail polish
probably a bit more Hard Candy and I will be doing a large 2 part haul review on NYX as I am getting an order soon and I have yet to receive my L'Oreal trendsetter polishes I am still waiting on.
I also just recently won the L'Oreal Feria Wild Ombre hair colour so I will review my thoughts on that once I get it and complete it.
enjoy the week end everyone and STAY BEAUTIFUL XO
