Good day everyone,
I don't know what it is, but I find myself on a lipstick buying binge as of late, actually more then anything else. Years ago I had a huge makeup collection before blogging and Youtube became the big thing. I often think all those years I could have been doing this *SIGH* and my lipstick collection was just as big then as it is again now.
I recently went to a near by Loblaw and did not realize the huge selection they have of cosmetics including Milani which is a great discovery.
I picked up another fall type colour which is the Milani Colour Statement lipstick 17 PLUMROSE.
I wore this yesterday when I went out and had a couple of women ask me what I was wearing. It does tend to be a brighter bolder lipstick, but still very wearable.
I feel it picked up a lot more red in the picture but is quite a deep pink mauve in the light.
I feel Milani lipsticks have very good staying power and it barely faded by the time I got home after a few hours out. However everyone's experience with lipstick and cosmetics in general will always differ.
Milani has recently changed the smell in their lipsticks which I definitely appreciate. Previous
lipsticks like Rose Hip or Mango Mambo are almost unbearable for me to wear because of over fragrance. However Rose Hip has now been carried over to the new line.
So if your looking for a lipstick that is great for fall but not really typical of the darker garnets and plums then this colour would be a good fit.

ReplyDeleteI have not yet tried the Milani lippies but have been wanting to get my hands on them for some time now! I just always forget to focus and look thoroughly at their line and I don't know why but I always forget to specifically check out their lipsticks when I'm there! (Seriously, I have bad memory!!! lol!)
A few shades that I've taken note that I want to try is "Sweet Nectar" and "Flamingo Pose."
I forgot exactly what shades these are but I think they are corals and pinks because I had written these two names down sometime during the summer lol!
I'm gonna write this shade that you have down too! It reminds me of a berry color??? =D

Glad to see my presence has made you happy:) yes you do need to remember next time to try some Milani out, just steer clear of the bronzer it's a little to shimmery. Sweet Nectar reminds me of my mango mambo. I really like Flamingo Pose, very pretty. Glad you like the colour I reviewed as well. Thank you my darling;)

DeleteI will make sure to steer clear of their bronzer=D Have you tried their Baked Blushes love? If you have, what are you thoughts on those? I only have one and it's nice but the powder gets weird after a while.. I'll have to go more in depth with you on this soon!
I think Plumrose is the perfect in between shade for when I don't want to go nude nor too bold =D

No I don't have milani lipsticks but I do have their lip pencils and I love them. And I love you too and I am so happy to see you around again. DeleteEver since I saw the reviews on the Milani Color Statement lipsticks I knew I had to try them out and Plumrose was my first purchase from this line! I love how creamy and non-drying they are! I also got "Uptown Mauve" (my fave!), "True Red"(and it's true!) and "Orangina"- which I'm still figuring out how to wear.

Great minds think a like on the Plumrose;) also the uptown mauve looks like it will be going on my list. That red is REALLY red lol. Red is a difficult colour I feel to nail a look properly with, it's intimidating at times. Mind you I wore it as a teenager all the time. Lol Orange Gina I can see how that would be a sort of hit and miss type colour it's either going to work with you or totally against you. Thanks so much for reading and keeping up with me:)

Wow US girls can't find Milani??? That's a first, usually you always have the great products that I am complaining I can't find. Did you try Ulta?? I hope you some how find some one near buy that carries them. I appreciate you gals very much and that your happy to see my post;) NP on the shout out.
DeleteI have this color and I LOVE this color. It's perfect for this time of year! This formula is so amazing.So opaque and creamy. These lipsticks certainly make a statement that for sure! I loved this post. :)

DeleteI love Milani..Have you ever tried there Liquid Eye liner Pencil. I used it for years and just went back to it. I love 05 Brown....Its almost like a Golden Brown.....

DeleteSO glad to see your new post girl! I don't have any Milani but that is because I have not been able to find it at a store around me. I just watched a video on youtube a few weeks ago where they swatched 10 Milani lipsticks so I went looking for them and couldn't find them :( They look like gorgeous lipsticks so I was so sad. I love the packaging also! Great post girl!
