FIXSTICK & BOMBSHELL WHO IS THE NEW TRU COVERGIRL

Hi everyone,

So lets get down to business and take a look at the new CoverGirl Tru Blend Fixstick and Bombshell Shine shadow

COVERGIRL TRU BLEND FIXSTICK- I picked the shade FAIR, I do find it isn't quite as light as some other concealers I have tried, and tends to have a ever so slight pinkish undertone. It only comes across that way when I swatch it on my inner arm, around my eyes it seems fine.

This is pretty creamy, applies and blends easily and has good slip, however I did notice some creasing. It does a good job of covering blemishes.
I am a little uncertain about it working well for people who are older and have more parched eye lid skin or deeper lines in the under eye area, maybe the emollient nature of the product will help, but seems it may settle poorly in the lines.

Another note is that I do find it has a waxy crayon type smell or that smell like stage makeup, but that really doesn't bother me

At this particular time I really don't have any real complaints about this product. I have now been using it for about 3 weeks

You get 3.5g of product for about $10 CAD

COVERGIRL BOMBSHELL SHINESHADOW
The colour I picked up from this new collection is 300 ICE QUEEN I tried the tester at the store and I had to buy this. It makes the eyes look like they have been kissed by the shimmering snow. Its such a gorgeous cream product that blends out really well and is buildable.
This product has light reflecting pigments that give your eyes a truly dazzling holiday angelic glow. You could easily add just a small dab to the tops of the cheek bones or your décolletage if your feeling sassy.

I feel that considering this product only has a shelf life of 6 months it is a lot at $9 CAD, but you do get 5.4ml of product, which the tube it self looks quite small, but it is a fair amount of product for what it is and how little you really need to use.
It does remove easily for the most part, but you may still see a small trace amount of shimmer left on the skin.

HAVE YOU BOUGHT ANY OF THE NEW COVERGIRL PRODUCTS TO TRY OUT???

So that's all I have for today, but join me again for more from Makeup'Asylum

  1. I'm starting to see this line by Covergirl making its debut in my stores and have not picked anything up yet because I was unsure if I'll like it or not. That Shine Shadow is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this with us love! xoxo

    1. I personally have grown to really love that fixstick, I use it daily. That shine shadow I was very, very pleasantly surprised with the texture and pigmentation, because I find CG can be very hit & miss and I think for me their colour selection is very limited. I like things "BOLD", but you already knew that lol;)

  2. That pigmentation on that cream shadow is AMAZING! I don't think I've seen that TruBlend concealer yet. Since I haven't been wowed by anything from Covergirl in a while, I'm definitely interested in that! You make it look good haha.

    1. I like that CG shadow and it is a really nice texture and colour payoff, but ironically I have not been reaching for it much at all, but I think that often becomes a problem when bloggers collections just keep getting bigger. I often wonder where I will go with blogging because for me personally my storage space is at a premium and I am not the kind of person interested in having tons of drawers filled with stuff. I really don't know what the future of makeup blogging holds. I love nice makeup and fun products, but where do you draw the line. I don't want to sell stuff, but I also don't want to accumulate much more. Decisions ?????

  4. The color of the shineshadow is gorgeous. Sorry the concealer stick is a bummer. I have tried and am really enjoying the CG truMatch foundation. I'm glad I didn't grab the concealer stick. I love your reviews dear.
