REVIVE THE 60'S WITH HARD CANDY'S NEW MOD QUADS

How's everyone doing today? Hope your all doing well,

Hard Candy has recently released some new baked eyeshadows called MOD QUADS and today I am going to show you two of them.

The first quad is called PINK INTERLUDE Which offers up some seriously stunning foil finish pink tones. The highlight shade is a pale glittery ballerina pink, the transition colour is a rose gold pink. The lid colour is a true petal pink with just ever so faint fine pink glitter in it, and lastly the crease colour is a delicious deep pink with strong purple overlay.

This is quite the glitz and glam eyeshadow quad. I did notice with the lightest shade some fall out, that left some glitter on the tops of my cheeks, but can easily be brushed away.
The pigmentation of these is nice, but sheer. If your a person looking for really strong colour pay off then this may not be for you, but if you want a gentle airy ethereal look then this is a good start. Personally I enjoy these, they are not my favourite, but are good for the price.

The second quad is UNDER THE MOON which is a sultry combination of purple toned shadows.
The lightest colour is a glittery white with a very faint purple hue to it. The transition colour is a soft iridescent pinky purple. The lid colour is a plum purple gunmetal shade that is really cool and the crease colour is a very glittery smokey blue purple.

All the new MOD QUADS can be used wet or dry as with most baked shadows.
The colour payoff is good, but BEST when used wet.
I did use the "Pink Interlude" and found it lasted the entire time I wore it, which was easily seven hours or more and still looked decent when I went to remove it that evening.
I feel these eyeshadows would have been fine without the larger glitter in a couple of the shades, but for some this will be most favoured.

The packaging is very cute similar to that of the top ten palettes which had a lace overlay with a colour that corresponded to the shadow in the case. This time it's a faux snake skin and each is coloured to match the quad colours inside.

The other colours available are BROWNIE POINTS- Which is your neutral colours of browns, bronze and beige, IVY LEAGUE- This is a high impact mix of greens and SMOKE & MIRRORS - Which gives you glittery blacks, Silver, shimmery white and charcoal for a sexy party ready smokey eye.

If your a person use to the quality of a high end eyeshadow you probably won't appreciate these for what they are, but for some it will be a perfect fit.

You can pick these up MOD QUADS at Walmart stores (CANADA & U.S) and online (U.S. ONLY) for $6 and you get 3.2g of product

    1. No problem, glad you had a good read. I too love seeing all the different goodies coming out, all though sometimes it sucks because there are certain products released in the U.S and not here in Canada, but there is always something else that will come along. Thanks for reading:)

  3. Those are all very pretty colors! I'm very curious to pick one up for myself now hehe. Now to be honest, I've never actually applied eye shadows when they are wet... I think it's time to do another Makeup 101 experiment! =D The black and green shadows remind me of something: Kinda off subject: I'm getting so inspired by your enthusiasm with Halloween!!!! Can you keep a secret? Lizzie's never been good with black eyeshadow and I think this Halloween will be perfect for me to experiment with black shadows too! Any suggestions on what to do with a black shadow my love? xoxo

    1. When I was a teenager before the whole wet/dry shadow thing became the thing I always did that to amp up the colours more;) See I was a head of my times lol. Glad your getting into my Halloween feelings:) YES you have to play around with colours that you may be afraid of at first because you can really surprise yourself. Liz you can do such sexy smokey eyes with black and you would make an awesome sexy cat so play around with that idea if you like it;)
