COVERGIRL CLEAN WHIPPED CREME REVIEW

Hi Girls & Boys,

Today on my blog I am reviewing the Covergirl "CLEAN WHIPPED CREME"

I love that this foundation is whipped and comes in a glass pot style jar. I find it easy to work with and it glides on nicely and has a bit of an almond oil scent to it.
The draw back for me personally is that I feel this is not good for any small dry patches or older people that are developing age lines. I feel it really settles into the lines of your skin making it very obvious that your wearing makeup.
It does stay on well and still looked decent after several hours of wear time, with some sweating involved. I wished this product didn't have this problem with settling in lines or around a pimple or dry spot. Other wise it could have become my new favourite. I also like how light weight it is and doesn't feel heavy on the face.

You can even notice the lines in my hand more from where I applied the foundation. The last thing you want to do is emphasis the imperfections of your skin, you want to blur them.
I feel if your a person who is younger and has generally good skin and you want to amp it up then this might be for you. I don't recommend this for aging, dry or combination skin at all. That is just my opinion, you still can try it because you might find you love it.

I will use this product here and there in emergency situations, but I don't plan on repurchasing. I am glad I only paid $3.99 as it was on sale and I had a coupon. I don't feel I am taking a huge loss in this case. I picked #305 and you get 18ml
I believe the regular price is closer to $10

REVIVE THE 60'S WITH HARD CANDY'S NEW MOD QUADS

How's everyone doing today? Hope your all doing well,

Hard Candy has recently released some new baked eyeshadows called MOD QUADS and today I am going to show you two of them.

The first quad is called PINK INTERLUDE Which offers up some seriously stunning foil finish pink tones. The highlight shade is a pale glittery ballerina pink, the transition colour is a rose gold pink. The lid colour is a true petal pink with just ever so faint fine pink glitter in it, and lastly the crease colour is a delicious deep pink with strong purple overlay.

This is quite the glitz and glam eyeshadow quad. I did notice with the lightest shade some fall out, that left some glitter on the tops of my cheeks, but can easily be brushed away.
The pigmentation of these is nice, but sheer. If your a person looking for really strong colour pay off then this may not be for you, but if you want a gentle airy ethereal look then this is a good start. Personally I enjoy these, they are not my favourite, but are good for the price.

The second quad is UNDER THE MOON which is a sultry combination of purple toned shadows.
The lightest colour is a glittery white with a very faint purple hue to it. The transition colour is a soft iridescent pinky purple. The lid colour is a plum purple gunmetal shade that is really cool and the crease colour is a very glittery smokey blue purple.

All the new MOD QUADS can be used wet or dry as with most baked shadows.
The colour payoff is good, but BEST when used wet.
I did use the "Pink Interlude" and found it lasted the entire time I wore it, which was easily seven hours or more and still looked decent when I went to remove it that evening.
I feel these eyeshadows would have been fine without the larger glitter in a couple of the shades, but for some this will be most favoured.

The packaging is very cute similar to that of the top ten palettes which had a lace overlay with a colour that corresponded to the shadow in the case. This time it's a faux snake skin and each is coloured to match the quad colours inside.

The other colours available are BROWNIE POINTS- Which is your neutral colours of browns, bronze and beige, IVY LEAGUE- This is a high impact mix of greens and SMOKE & MIRRORS - Which gives you glittery blacks, Silver, shimmery white and charcoal for a sexy party ready smokey eye.

If your a person use to the quality of a high end eyeshadow you probably won't appreciate these for what they are, but for some it will be a perfect fit.

You can pick these up MOD QUADS at Walmart stores (CANADA & U.S) and online (U.S. ONLY) for $6 and you get 3.2g of product

MAYBELLINE FIT ME FOUNDATION STICK AND LIMITED EDITION SEQUINS NAIL POLISH

Hi to all,

Maybelline has really been pumping out the products this past few months and most of them have been quite good. Today we will look at Maybelline's FIT ME foundation stick and see how it lives up to it's claim.

The shade I chose is #130 BUFF BEIGE. This foundation stick reminds me a lot of a lighter weight version of Max Factor's PAN STICK, which to me was a phenomenal product. So moving a long the things I do like about this foundation is due to the anti-shine core the product glides on effortlessly and blends out beautifully.

I find this product is very dual purpose. I don't know that I would personally wear this and this alone, but I find to conceal blemishes and use under eyes its great.

So I have tested this on my entire face and I did notice that I still had shine in my t-zone and after a few hours of wear it does streak a bit from sweating. I generally have very oily skin, so no matter what foundation I use be it high or low end the end result is always the same, shiny and slick. That's even with setting powder and so on.
However what I find has worked is using the foundation stick in problem areas and then applying my regular foundation over top and I do see that it overall gives a fairly nice flawless complexion.

I would say no matter what or how you use this product that touch ups will be in order if you have oily skin.
I must like this product regardless because I do still keep reaching for it.
I have however had a slight break out recently over my nose and I hope it's not this stick. Sometimes an ingredient in mattifying products tend to make me break out. I will keep testing and see what happens. I will try to follow up soon.

Overall I give Maybelline's new FIT ME foundation stick a 8/10. I think for someone like me I will really see the benefits of this stick come the cooler months when my face is less apt to being so oily.

The last two items I wanted to share are the Maybelline Limited Edition Sequin's nail polish. Again I picked glitter and was cursing the whole way to the check out knowing the ridiculous battle I would be dealing with trying to get it back off. Sadly the pretty glitter and colour won me over and landed in my basket, staring up at me laughing and saying "HAHA sucker you fell for our prettiness and sparkle yet again" **SIGH**

The first colour is a blueish/purple glitter with larger hot pink glitter throughout and that one is called SAPPHIRE MASQUERADE, the second one is a rose gold pink glitter with larger glitter that again is hot pink and also in this one iridescent its called ROSE BLING.

I sadly think I just love glitter, but maybe not so much nail polish. I think I will be toning down how many polishes I buy in the future. I am always busy with other things and don't really have a lot of time to dedicate to fussing over my nails. Now that summer is here I especially don't have time and my nails are really short for now. So unless your a person who diligently does your nails with perfection and are afforded the time to do so, I say skip the sparkle.

The thing that surprises me most with glitter polish is that no matter what it still chips just like any other polish and yet its so darn hard to get off, go figure.

Each polish is 7ml and was $2.97 at Walmart in Canada

Thanks for reading and come back soon
