ANNA SUI PART 1 FULL MASCARA, LIQUID LINER & LIQUID EYE COLOR

HAPPY DAY TO EVERYONE,

ALL ITEMS WERE GIFTED TO ME

I was anticipating having at least one of these Anna Sui reviews up already, but it ended up taking longer then expected. So here we are and let's get started with Part 1. The eye's. Everything I am about to say is of my own opinion and I am not being paid for my remarks. This is also my very first experience with Anna Sui cosmetics, so lets go.

First is Anna Sui SUPER BLACK FULL MASCARA- This is a very good mascara for the most part. It adds volume and defines lashes, but beware not to do to many coats as it can start to look spidery, unless your going for the affect. I do notice my lashes look fluttery and vintage glam after using this mascara.

This is a very standard wand, but does load up the colour to the lashes. I have always been more of a fan of these brush wands as appose to the newer silicone style with the exception of Maybelline Rocket mascara.

If your in the market to buy this lovely mascara your going to get 7.4ml/.28oz for about $30

The next item today is LIQUID EYE LINER WP 500- So I really haven't worn this a full day yet, but I will give you my first impression since I did one application and swatches. I for one am very picky when it comes to liquid liner and sadly this doesn't do it for me.

I have read other peoples thoughts who absolutely adore this product, but it doesn't mean it's for everyone. I find it hard to work with, that's just me. I prefer a felt tip applicator for liquid liner, not a brush, especially when the brush is splaying it's not going to give a flawless application. The only thing I will give this liner is that it has strong staying power and the brown colour is a nice softer tone for day looks instead of the constant harshness of black.

Would I buy this on any given day? probably not, especially coming in at $30-35 depending on where you shop. However if you like the looks of it or would repurchase it I say go for it, we all like something different and don't be discouraged just because it didn't work out for me.
I will play around with it more over time and may follow up if I discover a shift in my current opinion.

The next two items are the same product just different colours.
They are the LIQUID EYE COLOUR G- The first colour is a silver/blue metallic. This liquid to powder shadow fluidly glides on to the eye leaving a sparkly angelic wash of colour over the lid. Light reflecting particles of bright white and green are very dominate in this eye shadow. If you don't like glitter this one may have to sit out.

I tried photographing it in various locations of light and it still looks white in the picture. The photo doesn't do it justice. It is a very nice colour, but I do find compare to the other colour I have it seems more runny.

Which brings me too the next liquid eye color, which is a beautiful bronze metallic and I really like this one. Its a colour I prefer, its more metallic and finer sparkles. Sparkles in general whether in eye shadows, shimmer powders or nail polish generally tend to be a pain to clean up.

This is a nice rich bronze tone that will illuminate anyone's eyes. I especially love these tones for doing intense bronze summer looks with, I am glad this is in my collection.
This quick drying colour lasts for hours and does not budge till it's ready to take off. All though it does last for hours the great part is removal is a breeze even with a basic baby wipe. It will add a dazzle to your eyes that will have other's taking a second look.
So go a head and splurge for 5.2ml/.17fl.oz $30-40

I would say out of everything I reviewed here today the two items I would buy of my own accord is the "Full Mascara" and the "Liquid Eye Color G" in bronze.

Leave me a comment if you have tried any of these products and what you did or did not like about them.

L'Oreal, Almay, Revlon (Deep Discounts)

So over the Victoria Day long week-end I stopped by my local Shopper's Drug Mart and found some really good products that were deeply discounted.

So to start I found a combo pack by ALMAY and it's there smart shade liquid makeup with SPF15 in the shade 200 LIGHT/MEDIUM, it also came with a smaller tube of the smart shade concealer in the same shade as the foundation.
 FOUNDATION SWATCH
 CONCEALER

These products look extremely light upon first application but it instantly starts to transform to supposedly your "IDEAL SHADE". It is also suppose to hide flaws and imperfections all day.
Almay's products are hypoallergenic and this foundation is oil free.
It seems to blend out nicely with no streaking and it seems very sheer like a tinted moisturizer. Will have to wait and see how it turns out after a full day on my face. The concealer seems a little richer but I suppose that is necessary for covering spots. It has a slight smell that is more medicinal then fragrant.
The foundation is in a squeeze tube which is 1fl oz/30ml and the concealer is .37fl oz/11ml. Normally this combo pack runs about $17 and I got it for $4

Staying in line with face products the next item is Revlon ColorstayAqua mineral makeup in the shade LIGHT MEDIUM. I have never used this specific line before but I was surprised with a couple of things about it.

First of all this mineral foundation when first applied feels like it is cooling your skin it is a really neat sensation. Secondly it actually has a very very fine shimmer that is not detectable with the bare eye. I imagine it reflects the light beautifully which in turn gives you the luminous finish they mention on the container. This is suppose to wear all day and offer instant hydration which is that cooling feeling you notice right away. It offers an SPF13 and comes in an acrylic container with a black cap that houses a very cool retractable mini face brush. The brush as well isn't half bad for small minor touch ups.
This mineral foundation costs $18 CAD and I got it as well for $4
Then also in the Revlon colorstay line is a duo pack which included a liquid eye liner and a smoky shadow stick which is dual ended.

I really like this liquid eye liner except I have not used liquid in some time so I have to practice a bit to get a flawless line happening. As you can see you can make the line very fine or thicker depending on how you hold the pen. This is the colour BLACKEST BLACK

I was a bit disheartened when I got home as the darker end on this shadow stick in the colour FLARE was not only broken, but very dry and I had to dispose of that whole end. That's why I did not photograph it. However this side which is a very light lilac colour is quite nice it applies like a cream shadow and I used eye primer before applying it to test it out and it did not crease.
So even though the one part of this product was not usable I still feel this was a great deal. The liquid liner on it's own normally is $10 but I got both items in a combo pack for $4
Liquid liner is .056oz/1.6g
Smoky shadow stick is .07oz/1.9g
On my way to pay for those goodies they had some new to the store L'Oreal products near by. I ended up buying yet another nail polish. The nail polish I chose has been added to the L'Oreal denim collection which will offer two brand new products such as a blue mascara and eyeliners, but I have already been rockin blue mascara for months now. My store didn't have this collection just this nail polish. It's 550 AFTER HOURS.

At first look you think this is black but it actually is a very deep rich dark blue like a blueberry. I'm not sure how well this sold in the U.S but I think this is going to be a hot seller for anyone that loves dark tones and looking for a nail polish that is almost black but this steps it up a notch.
Here are my only concerns with this polish. It is the kind of colour you need to be patient and apply it with great care. Any wrong moves and you see the mistakes big time because it's so dark. Also when removing this polish the blue does come off all over your fingers. It also doesn't dry very quick which for someone like me that is a big draw back.
I want to love this colour because it is really nice, but sadly I feel I should have bought a red I spotted in the same stand because it would be better for more frequent use and wouldn't be so time consuming to apply.
