"WHAT A STEAL" NYX ULTRA PEARL MANIA PIGMENTS

WELCOME TO THE INSANITY,

Today just real quick I thought I would share these two pigments from NYX. If you have read my previous posts on NYX products you know I love me some pigments. The added bonus was I scored these two awesome colours perfect for fall for only $1.50 CAD, HOOT HOOT. Normally these will run you $5 each.

The first colour is a saturated brown that has a gorgeous foil gold finish, this is 23 WALNUT PEARL.

This next colour is perfect for my fall inspired look for the ever changing leaves and this is called 22 RUST PEARL

 

Always be sure to check out smaller drugstores where stock might not move as quick because this is where you can find a bounty of awesome items for super cheap.

 

I will also have the link to my previous NYX post showing you some other Ultra Pearl Mania pigments as well.

 

I am not really a fan of the containers they come in. I am planning on transferring them to small pots from the Dollarama and sticking the labels on those instead. I did not come up with the idea I read it on someones blog and wish I could remember who so they could be recognized for there idea:( Sorry about that. (Got to start writing this stuff down) *sigh*

NYX PART 3 GLITTER CREAM PALLETS AND PIGMENTS

Good morning all,

I have heard many people say that if your older you should not wear glitter. I guess I have thrown that comment right out the window because I personally love it and the way it brings your eyes to a whole new level. I am not saying that you have to love glitter too, but for those of us that do "DON'T HATE."

So today is all about eye glitter and shimmer and your either going to love it or completely hate it, but then in that case don't continue reading this review if its not your cup of tea.

NYX glitter cream pallets are a total feast for the eyes there are 12 palettes to choose from and each palette contains 5 colors. My choices were  EDEN and SWEET CHOCOLATE BROWNS.

These palettes basically are a gel type base with an intense amount of glitter blended throughout. The "Eden" palette I think will be a lot of fun for the summer. The "Sweet Chocolate Browns" would be a nice palette to use anytime your heart desires, but for some maybe only a special event where you want to play up your eyes, but still keeping with a sexier look.

I will say these glitters are very hard to work with and I watched a video on YouTube by TREASURE YOUR BEAUTY and she did quite a lovely job using the "sweet chocolate brown" palette.

I would definitely say you must have a good eye shadow primer and you can use the glitter sparingly. I did my eyes yesterday using the yellow glitter from the EDEN palette and I did find once I lightly dusted with translucent powder after application it did stay in place with little to no creasing. How ever when its time to take it off its a disaster. I have a lot of facial cleansers and eye makeup removers and even an amazing product like a cleansing oil, Vaseline or the more expensive BIODERMA could not help this glitter, it was pretty much every where. I have even seen a few stray sparkles hanging around this morning even after my nightly face wash and morning routine with a shower. In light of the situation at least you know it has staying power.

The colors are really beautiful and I guess its just a matter of if you want to deal with that kind of clean up. I did notice in the sweet chocolate browns that the dusty rose color on the right end has a very fine glitter in it and tends to blend out smoother then the others. Maybe this is something NYX should consider if they ever revamp this line, just stick with a finer glitter and steer away from the chunky stuff in this case.

Each palette is .33oz/10g and costs $6.99 on the Canadian site, these are no longer available on the U.S site.

Another item I am a big fan of are pigments I find you can do so much with them and you need only a very small amount to achieve any look you want. The color is so super saturated and because you don't need a lot its well worth the money for a very small jar. I picked up one larger jar of DRAMATIC CHROMATIC PIGMENT and three small jars of the ULTRA PEARL MANIA which I have reviewed other colors in a previous post.

All the pigments are more then you could ask for and I highly recommend NYX brand as the color payoff is amazing. The pigments go on effortlessly and blend well and I look forward to trying them wet as well. I imagine they will be even more brilliant and intense.

Raving about NYX cosmetics....

Hi everyone,

          So lets jump right in today is all about NYX cosmetics. I don't have a lot of products but what I do have I only have good things to say about them.

First is the NYX girls nail polish in the colour "Dreamy Glitter" (NGP167). This is such a pretty feminine glitter polish. It has such an ethereal look to it between the iridescent sparkle the light pinkish fine sparkle and to top it all off the cutest pink stars. This particular polish I would recommend using as a top coat over your favorite pink base colour. You will need about 2 coats to make it even and visible if your going to wear it alone. Also BEWARE it is very hard to get off. However I still think its a nice fun polish that any girlie girl would love.

Next up is the NXY ULTRA PEARL MANIA LOOSE PIGMENT I picked the following colours

 

11 Baby Pink Pearl

 

17 Yellow Gold Pearl

 

18 Orange Pearl 

I did notice because they are so light and fine it does fly around a lot during application however the color payoff is well worth the effort. It has good staying power which today I am wearing the Baby pink and have had it on since 7 this morning and its still hasn't budged. If you love that angelic look around your eyes these are a must try for fans of pigment.
They are very small containers 0.06 fl oz/5ml but they will last a really long time. They sell for about $4 each
I also bought one GLITTER MANIA again in a 5ml for $4 it is 10 Hot Pink, but you must use a cream base, eye primer or cream shadow then pack on the glitter as it will not stay on the eye on its own and will not show up as you see it in the container. Very cool colour if you use it right.

I did not swatch the Glitter as it was not showing up well on my hand

As you can see the Baby pink is a good highlighting colour, but the Gold and Orange are super pigmented and are so gorgeous even on a hand. Can you imagine how awful life would be without colour...YIKES


Lastly I purchased two of the EXTRA CREAMY ROUND LIPSTICKS as I have never tried them until now. All I can say is OMG what amazing colours they show up so incredible on the lips. These certainly have to be dupes for MAC lipsticks, which everyone raves about and that's fine, but I don't feel it necessary to spend upwards of $18 for a lipstick when I known there are brands like NYX that are comparable and for a fraction of the cost which I paid $5.39 each for the colours

Strawberry Milk is the most amazing baby pink of all pinks and I can only imagine how much more amazing it will look come summer with a decent tan. I would say its the NYX version of MAC's Saint Germain. Its that all out true bubble gum Barbie pink.
The colour POWER is such a nice everyday mauve nude that literally can be worn with any shade of eye makeup and will look great.
These lipsticks have several hours of staying power mine has faded today but I also ate and drank a coffee, but its still hanging on without a touch up yet so I say that's pretty damn good.
