LIVE CLEAN EXOTIC NECTAR COLLECTION

HI ALL,

So I am slowly trying to revamp my collection of body products and household items to more eco- friendly choices, as well as products that are less harmful on my skin and everyone in my family.

My interest in the "Live Clean" line started several years ago when I noticed that my baby's skin was having a reaction to Johnson's baby products. So as I walked the baby care aisle I noticed Live Clean, which at that time was newer to the market. I bought the shampoo & wash, as well as the lotion. That night after I bathed my baby with the product and put on some lotion I noticed what a gentle awesome smell this product had. It truly is a baby scent. I also noticed over the course of the week my child's skin returned to normal with no signs of rash, I was hooked on this wonderful product and it cost no more then the chemical filled Johnson products so it's definitely worth the switch.

Moving forward to today I have rediscovered my passion for live clean products, but this time it is the "EXOTIC NECTAR" collection which has a range of 8 products. I purchased the body lotion and body wash.

The body lotion dispenses a little more fluid then other lotions, but as you start to rub it in and it takes on a creamier consistency. I noticed it creates a shield over the surface of the skin and if you rub your skin an hour or so later it almost acts as though you have reactivated the lotion again to continue to hydrate.

I love that this particular collection has a nice nutty smell to it. For those that don't know Argan is a fruit that has a thick bitter peel, within that is an unpleasant flavoured pulpy flesh that only smells sweet. Deep within the Argan fruit is a hard nut that may only have a mere 2-3 seeds in it which Argan oil is extracted from.
The whole family can enjoy this product because it just smells good in a very unisex way.

Why not indulge further and take this amazing scent to the shower as well with this delicious creamy body wash. A must try for all fans of Argan products.

The body wash has a mild caramel colour to it similar to that of the Argan seeds on the label.
This gives a great lather, and easy rinsing. I find paired with the lotion is gives ultimate moisture that does last all day. I find if I use the lotion randomly throughout the day my hands have been feeling exceptionally soft, with no trace of a greasy feeling at all.

Live Clean states on their packaging the following
"Plant Based, Certified Organic Botanicals, Petroleum  Free, Mineral Oil, Paraben and Phthalate Free, Pure Vegan, Never tested on animals, Package recyclable, Biodegradable Ingredients, Hypoallergenic, Dermatologist tested."

That is a lot to promise in a product.

My only one concern about Live Clean is that I noticed in the ingredients that there is "Fragrance" which can be any number of other additional ingredients not clearly stated on the label for the consumer. Some of those ingredients may not be as skin and eco friendly as we would like and can often be the culprit for allergic reaction even though it is 98% plant based. So always keep that in mind when buying products.

The price range for Live Clean products is about $6-13 depending on what your purchasing.
If you sign up at their website they will email you a coupon.

NEW LACOUPE ORGNX COCONUT & MACADAMIA OIL SHAMPOO

Hi everyone,

While I was away on vacation I was introduced to a new product by my sister-in-law. It is a new line by LaCoupe called "ORGNX" and it's a nourishing shampoo with a blend of cocoa butter, coconut and macadamia oil. Sounds delish right?
At first I was not sure that this would be appropriate for me, as most of you know from previous post I have been battling "OILY" hair problems as of late. However to my surprise this has been ok for me as long as I don't use it everyday.

The shampoo it self is very creamy, but lightweight on the hair and rinses out well. This product is colour safe, sulfate free, paraben free and gentle. Also this shampoo is made with certified organic botanicals.

LaCoupe Orgnx is suitable for all hair types, but is "very hydrating."

For every purchase made of this line a Moringa tree is planted through the "Trees for the Future" organization.

LaCoupe Orgnx is proudly made in CANADA

Lastly what a beautiful smelling shampoo, so rich and delicious and very tropical. I find the scent is gentle and not over powering which can be irritating if there is to much filler in products.

The Orgnx collection is only at this time a shampoo, conditioner and intensive treatment. Maybe in time we will also see styling products as well, which would be nice.

Larger Shoppers Drug Mart stores carry this line and it is $11 for 300ml/10.1 fl oz.

You can check out more LaCoupe products at

Thanks for reading everyone and

GOSH VOLUME LIP SHINE

Hello everyone,

These items were gifted to me

I have two lip glosses by Gosh cosmetics that I wanted to share with you. As you all know if you live in Canada Gosh is exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart. So if you like either of the glosses I am about to mention then head to a location near you.

03- TEA ROSE
This lip gloss like many I have been mentioning lately is a perfect pink nude. The pigmentation when swatched on my hand is good, but tends to sheer out a lot once applied to the lip if you see it in person, however with the flash of the camera the colour picks up well. I think it is best to use a primer before hand that will wash out your lip and then the colour of the gloss shows up better. However for some just that hint of colour and lots of shine will be satisfactory.

08-NUDE
This nude to me seems like a rich toffee nude with an ever so slight peach undertone. Nude's can be sometimes tough to match with certain skin tones, be sure to test in store before purchasing.

So I really don't have anything negative to say regarding the Gosh Volume Lip Shine. They overall have a small but decent colour selection, they are nice and hydrating and are super soft on the lips. These glosses also have "Maxilip" which is a plumping complex to amp up the fullness of your lips. Gosh Volume Lip Shine have an intriguing scent to them and are paraben free. I guess the only thing they could improve is the SPF level which is 10 and should be at least 15.

The other colours available are
Soft Coral, Cherry Blossom, Juicy Orange, Red Stiletto, Raspberry Galore and Burgundy
You get 4ml/.14fl oz for $15
They are made in Denmark

ANNABELLE BIG SHOW LIP GLOSSES

I have to admit I find it so much harder to do a review that is not going to be positive. So I am going to try to keep it short here.

THESE LIP GLOSSES WERE GIFTED TO ME

I had BIG hopes for Annabelle's big show lip glosses.

The two colours I received are SHOUT and POUT, both of which look very welcoming in the tube and on the swatch.

 POUT

 SHOUT

I think that the BIG SHOW lip glosses are just that, a big show. I don't feel that they deliver on top quality colour payoff and I find them very oily on the lip. I understand this may help moisturize the lips, but its not a pleasant feeling, however at least they don't feel tacky. Then we have where the biggest problem occurs with this product. You know that smell of a wet popsicle stick after your done your popsicle? YUP that's exactly the smell coming from these lip glosses. I have had several other people smell it as well whom feel the same way about this gloss. That being said this is enough that no matter if I like the colour I will sadly not be reaching for these lip glosses again.

I do surely hope Annabelle will see to it to correct this problem. It's one thing to be fragrance free, but an unpleasant smell due to maybe an ingredient can be just as much of a put off as a lip product that is overly fragrant.

Also I was not a fan of SHOUT in terms of the colour payoff and I was hoping POUT would be ok because I loved the colour in the tube. I counted and it took me layering 6 coats to get it visible enough on my lip for the actual colour to show up adequately.

To follow up as well I even tried them again by applying a bit of concealer to the lip prior to the gloss and still did not make much difference.

I have other products from Annabelle such as their eyeshadows which I really like, but this was definitely not a strong point for their makeup collection.

There are 12 colour options in this collection and are 3ml
They sell for $9.95 CAD

ANY OF YOU TRIED THESE GLOSSES? IF SO WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS. DID YOU FIND A COLOUR TO LOVE? WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE SMELL????

THANKS FOR READING
